Whilst I dont think your hair trial was bad at all, i do think she could have done a better job with your make-up. Your foundation is all blochy and the eyeliner on the top lid is too thick.

Do you have enough time to find another make-up artist?

I actually don’t think the hair is *that* bad, but the makeup is not good. Your everyday makeup looks great! Would you consider doing your own, or do you need the MUA? Also, I’d tell the person you booked with (whos work you loved) how terrible she was and then try to book with her specifically. Or at least send someone better.

the good news is, you are naturally beautiful so you can’t possibly look bad on your wedding day.

but yeah, the brows were super shaded in with the wrong color, and the makeup wasn’t the best it could have been.

i agree, you do a great job with your own makeup and could do it the day of but why worry about it, and why not get pampered! it’s good you talked to the owner, if she sets you up with someone else definitely get a trial (and it should be free, there’s no paying for what the first woman did) and ask for references.

do you have friends, family, a vendor who can make referrals if the owner doesn’t work out?

When you do your own makeup, it looks like you apply much less makeup to the lower-lid than what is in the inspiration photo. IMO, that is so much more flattering with your beautiful eyes. Next time you have somebody do your makeup, I would ask for a light brown under your eyes instead of jet black.

Like other PPs, I don’t think the hair is bad! But the makeup does look smudgy and not well done. I’d look for a different MUA if you could.

I basically trust no one to do my hair and makeup the way I want it, because I’ve gotten it done at least ten times and I always feel like I look awful. I did my own hair and makeup on my wedding day, and I was happy with the result. Maybe consider doing your own? It took the stress off (at least for me) and I knew what I was getting. 🙂

I’m glad the owner sucked it up and admitted that a poor job was done and is giving you a re trial with someone else (for free I hope).

When I had my bad makeup trial (I look like I’m doped up, the lashes were set so that they pointed DOWNWARD), I was told that I’m picky, and she said I’m the problem, not her MUA. Who knew that wanting even eyebrows, and properly set lashes was being picky.

I think your hair looks beautiful. Maybe add some more loose curls? But the make up not so much. I’m very particular too when it comes to my make up. I don’t think I could have someone else do it for my wedding. I think your every day make up is beautiful maybe use a slightly darker shade of eyeshadow if you want a more dramatic look. Best of Luck!

Glad the owner is trying to work with you! There are too many horror stories on the bee where the MUA/owners are unreasonable and stand behind their/their employees work
