futuremrscopeland:  Having terminal illness would be worse, or losing a child, or losing your mum, Dad, Brother, any member of family. There are a hundred million things that are ten billions times worse than being a fat bride…..

futuremrscopeland:  Do you not realise how offensive you are being? Being a fat bride is THE WORST thing that could happen? Seriously.

futuremrscopeland:  I was a fat bride and I didn’t give a damn. Do you know why? Because I love myself just the way I am. My husband loves me just the way I am. My friends and family love me just the way I am. Sure, it bothered me a little bit before the day that my arms are gigantic but I didn’t even give it a thought on my wedding day because I was so freaking happy. What’s worse than being fat wedding-wise?  Marrying the wrong man, maybe? Or instead of having a happy day, you’re miserable because of a few extra pounds. That would be worse than actually being a fat bride. I think you were just fishing for compliments so here you go: You look fabulous. You are super skinny. You’ll be a beautiful, thin bride who looks perfect and everyone will admire how skinny you are. Because, clearly, that’s what’s important. Not celebrating your love or anything.

If you’re taking photos with a camera phone you’ll likely look bigger than you are. When looking at someone in real life you get a 3D effect whereas with a photo everything in the view is flattened against a flat viewing plane, making you look wider than you are. Professional photos done with a very expensive camera and a trained eye will be MUCH better!

futuremrscopeland:  you look beautiful in all of those!

I know exactly how you feel though, I’m scared too. But if you’re really serious about certain problem areas (which I can’t even see – you look fab!) talk to your photographer. They know how to slim what you don’t want showing.

Also, they can photoshop things for you. Say your biggest insecurity is armpit fat (that literally everyone has :)) if the photographer sees this in your photo, he’ll know instantly to reduce it or whatever to make the photos work for you. 🙂

I think you look great, but if you are unhappy with your appearance, I recommend toning. Toning will make you appear leaner.

I agree wth the PP who said to tone. You are at a nice healthy weight, but muscle weighs more than fat, so if you tone, you maybe still be the same healthy weight but have a healthier and slimmer looking body than you do now.

That’s what i plan to do, a couple years ago i could eat anything and not exercise and i was 5ft 6, 110 punds, perfectly solid yet still had some curves.  Now, just a couple years later, I still eat what i want and don’t exercise, but i’m really starting to look flabby-er. I still weigh about the same–115, but i notice it in my arms and legs that they aren’t solid anymore.

I think people who are larger don’t realize that even people who are smaller than them can still feel down about themselves because of their body. There is more to a healthy body than just size! Once you get to your desired size, you start focusing on really small things that to someone else might not seem like a big deal, but to you it is noticeable.  There is nothing wrong with exercising and eating healthy to achieve the body you want on your wedding day!!

futuremrscopeland:  Not here to stab you, I only thought of another example. How about the wedding ends up not happening at all. I think that would be worse.

Also, everyone is, to some degree, insecure of their looks, you are not the only one nor will you ever be.

futuremrscopeland:  Okay, sorry if I was a bit harsh. I was actually very understanding of your feelings until the “what could be worse than being fat” part. Because we all have our issues – and I know that everyone has their own comfortable weight zone. If it’s such a big fear (the worst thing you can think of), maybe that will be motivation enough to drop the last few pounds?  But, PLEASE, don’t let your weight make or break your day!

SithLady:  I second SithLady. You are not fat at all, but if you want to lose weight and be healthier, that’s great as well.

Man. I can’t tell if you have bad self-esteem issues or are just fishing for compliments. There are MANY things worse in life than looking fat.

I think you look awesome but I totally understand needing reassurance. However, you’re going to take some flack on here because you’re going about it the wrong way. I understand that for you, personally, being overweight on your wedding day is really terrifying and that’s okay because it sounds like you lost weight the healthy way and it’s just a past demon. Just be careful you keep things in perspective, as PP have said to state that being fat is the worst possible scenario is pretty overly dramatic and offensive to many bees. Have some confidence in yourself and I sincerely hope that the idea of being overweight on your wedding day remains your biggest concern in life.
