@ughbride:  There was a girl who posted about getting a replica Vera Wang Gemma gown a couple of days ago on here from one of those china websites! Let me see if I can find it. She was very happy with the results.

Jasmine’s Bridal or Dressilyme are probably your best bets.

@ughbride:  I just recieved my dress from lightinthebox.com.  They have tons of dresses! I highly recommend them, they custom size the dresses too.  My dress is exactly what I wanted. ONLY real advise is too look through the reviews for each dress to see what it looks like in photos on a real person and not a model…my “dream” dress looked horrible on real people, so I ended up picking something else.

They come from China, take less than 4 weeks, mine took 2! Shipping is cheap, but be prepared for customs fees. I am in Canada and was charged $70 when it delivered.

I ordered a veil, faux fur coat, tiara, jewelry.  I recommend the veils, but not the other things. They are rather cheap looking!

Reviews and from people I talked to have problems with returns, so you really need to look at this site as FINAL sale.  If you know the style that looks good on you, you shouldnt have a problem, and the savingfs are worth it! Worst case if you hate it you can sell it and get something else

I’d never order from a knock off site. All of the money you save isn’t worth the risk. I’ve heard too many horror stories to trust it.

I’m pretty sure you’re essentially funding sweatshops when you order through some of those sites.

I think it’s safer to order a used gown. You know the quality is better, the dress looks like the photo, and you aren’t funding businesses that pay their employees very little.

@christinamarie980:  Jasmine’s bridal shop pay their workers really well. They pay per the hour and not per dress as many other chinese replica companies do. By paying per the hour, they ensure that they keep all their experienced seamstresses, and therefore they can control the quality of their dresses.

Did you end up buying from the shop4weddingdresses site? I’m considering it….
