Hi! This is my first post on this site! My fiance and I are working on our ceremony text this week and so far it’s going very well. We each individually read through a book called The Wedding Ceremony Planner and flagged things we liked. We’re definitely not lacking in inspiration!
Our problem is having an idea of how long the text should be if our ceremony is about 30 minutes long. We have searched the internet but haven’t found information on that specifically. If anyone could share a script of a half hour long ceremony, it would be AMAZING!

I would find this helpful as well!! 🙂

One thing you could do is literally read what you have outloud and time it. It will give you a sense of how long things take. We meant to do that and never did, and I don’t actually know how long our ceremony was – it flew by! I guess I’ll find out when we get the video.

crimsonsaffron: I was amazed at how fast our ceremony went on the day of. We thought for sure it would be 45 min to an hour and it ended up being just a little over 30 minutes. There were a lot of words for thirty minutes though, I’d copy and paste it in but it’s a lot (if you PM me your e-mail I can send it to you if you’d like)! I agree with brooklyngreen that reading aloud what you’ve got and seeing how long it takes you would be beneficial.
