Darling Husband and I just got back yesterday from our 2 week honeymoon in Thailand. We started in Bangkok for a few days, headed up north to Chiang Mai for a week, then down to the islands to Koh Samui and Koh Tao for 2 nights each. We flew back to Bangkok for 1 more night before heading home.
It was seriously an amazing trip and I highly recommend it! Darling Husband and I decided we will go back for our 10 year anniversary. 🙂
Most of the pictures are on our camera, but here are akme pictures I took on my phone!
Riverside hotel in Bangkok (Chatrium Riverside). View from the bedroom in the hotel suite!
Hanging out by the pool after our super long travel!
Temples and palace in Bangkok
Fruit shakes are seriously the best!!!! Got one probably every day!
Ziplining and waterfall hike through the jungle 1 hour outside of Chiang Mai
Darling Husband with a big tiger
Mahout elephant training and bathing. (If you do this make sure the place you go is ethical… ours was like a refuge)
Thai cooking class! We took a trip to the local market with the amazing guest house owner to learn about and pick out the food, then made 5-6 dishes. So much fun! (And so much food!)
Darling Husband riding a water buffalo. I politely declined.
We went to walking street (night market) and found a stand for one of the only wineries in Thailand. Yum! We were so excited!
Hike up the steps to the temple at Doi Suthep in the mountains and the view of Chiang Mai below
Chaweng beach on Koh Samui
Massages in cabanas on the beach
Super steep hike up a waterfall on Koh Samui… But the view was totally worth it!
Guest house on Koh Tao island!
Unfortunately our snorkeling trip was canceled due to bad weather (super bummed!) but the weather cleared up in the afternoon so we went to a local snorkeling spot called “shark bay”.
nice view from dinner!
and some food and drink!
