Are you suppose to send a Thank You card to your Vendors?
For example, I noticed when I went dress shopping they had a lot of Photo cards w/ real couples sending them thank yous….
I was wondering if its normal to send like your Cake person a pic of their cake at your Wedding as a thank you.. etc

This one’s got me quite miffed actually. I’ve never heard of sending thank-you cards to vendors, and I would consider myself as someone with a lot of wedding knowledge. Nothing in tradition says you are obliged to send them cards. If you think it’s a lovely idea, then by all means go for it. But if you think it’s a bit of a waste of time and money, then don’t feel like you have to. I suppose if, for example, you made some last minute changes or orders to any of the vendors, it could be a cute idea to thank them for helping you out at such short notice, but generally, I don’t think you should worry about sending them thankyou cards.
Surely your money is payment enough?!?

I wrote them all thank you cards and put their cheques in with it, it seemed a little nicer. I didn’t send anyone pictures after though!

From what I understand people send a copy of a pro photo so the vendor can use it in their portfolio. The thank you notes also second as a testimonial the vendor can show in order to bring in new clients. You don’t have to do this, but it’s a nice gesture if you thought the vendor was great.
