How long after your wedding did you send out your thank you cards, and did you include a picture? I want to get started on them, but I took some pictures of us holding a thank you sign that I want to make personzlied cards with, so it might be another couple weeks before they go out because I’m waiting on the photog to get them back to me.
So, lets hear it! 🙂

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We sent out photo thank you cards from Wedding Paper Divas at the 3 month mark. We used photos from our day after shoot, which we did a little over a month after the wedding.

Haha well we went on a 2 week honeymoon right after the wedding, so it was deff over a month before I got around to thinking about thank you cards! 😉 We did cards with wedding photos on them and I am finishing them up right now! (2.5 months after the wedding.)

I have already started sending thank you cards (sent half yesterday). I personally would not wait to send them out. I know a lot of people wait to get pictures back for the thank you cards, but if I gave a gift, I would want the thank you card right away, and I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I personally don’t like thank you cards with pictures of the couple on them.

We sent ours out within 1 day. Wedding was Saturday, we sent on Sunday. We did not use a photo card.
It is more important to thank your guests promptly, then to send them a photo of you.

We leave for our honeymoon the monday after the wedding so I plan on writing our thank you cards the day after the wedding and sending them out right away. I am a sucker from promptness 😉

I am sending our out immediately after the wedding.
I wanted to do pictures with us holding a thank you sign, but I would have had to have gotten those pictures done way before the wedding so they could be sent immediately after- don’t wait.

I did not use a photo on the thank you cards. (I personally prefer stationery anyway, so I wasn’t torn about waiting for a photo or getting my thank yous out quickly.)
Our thank you notes were mailed less than a week after the wedding. We’d have mailed them sooner if the wedding had been close to our home (instead of close to the homes of most of our guests) and we hadn’t had to travel back to my stationery!
The majority of our wedding gifts were given to us at the wedding, so we did a lot of writing in those two or three days when we got home!
