As much as I would LOVE to do this to make life easier, I see it as rude. Thank yous don’t need to be long but should be handwritten.

Eh. I wouldn’t personally send out a generic thank you card (I actually took an elective in high school that focused on college prep and one of the things we had to learn was how to write a proper thank you card) but I would rather receive a generic “Thank you for taking part in our big day!” than no card at all. Fiance and I give generous gifts at most events and have yet to receive a thank you card at all. In fact, now that I think about it, we never received a thank you card from the last wedding that we attended in which we gave a very generous gift AND helped the bride and groom get 30% off of their wedding cake using my employee discount at the bakery I work for. Shitty.
