I’m sending thank you cards without a photo. Before our shower last year, I bought a couple boxes of nice thank you cards from Target on sale. I used a little less than one box for the shower thank yous and I’m using the rest for the wedding thank yous. I figure that since I haven’t received thank you cards from the last two family weddings we’ve been to, people will just appreciate the sentiment of getting a card.

You definitely don’t have to! We included a photo in ours, but probably 75% of the wedding thank-you cards we’ve received didn’t include a photo. A thank you is a thank you either way! 🙂

@TypeABride2013:  My thank you card for guests at the wedding is actually a photo of THEM with the thank you on the back, and then I’m including a small photo of us that will fit in the frame we gave as a seating card/take home.

So I’m sending two photos but then my photographer is getting a picture of every couple/family before they enter the recieving line so that made my life easier. The ones not attending but sending something anyways, will still get a thank you but it’ll be generic and I probably will not include a photo of us

@Elky:  Thats really a nice idea to send a picture of the guests as a thank you.

I wouldn’t, I think it’s presumptuous. like, why would someone else want to keep a picture of me?

@katsmah:  Yeah and it worked out that the photographer will take the photos of each guest so we can do it.

Also me cheap side agrees with me…. its like 15 cents to print a 4×6 photo and probably less than $5 for a pen that will write on the back without damaging the photo so the thank yous will be cheap and easy… haha
