Try 123print.com for inexpensive, custom-printed cards. I printed my save-the-dates there, and they turned out fantastic! Will be printing all my other wedding stationery there as well.

Target carries Thank You cards under the Letter Impress brand that are very affordable but nice looking.

I just bought some ivory 4×6 notecards from Hobby Lobby when they were on sale. I think they came in like packs of 50 or so, for the card and the envelope. I’m planning on just getting a Thank You stamp, brown ink, and some embossing powder and making them that way. There’s ton of creative ways that you can DIY blank note cards if you’re up for it!
