My Mom is throwing a bridal shower for me in April, and I’m trying to figure out what to get her as a thank you gift. I’m her only daughter and I can tell that she’s really excited about all of the upcoming wedding activities. I was thinking of getting her a personalized handkerchief that she can use on the wedding day, but I’d love to hear some other ideas. She will be getting her make-up done for the wedding, and she’s definitely a crier so I’m a little worried that the hanky will be covered in make-up by the time the ceremony is through.
What did you give your Mom or shower hostess as a shower thank you gift?

I am totally interested in this as well. I was thinking of getting my mom a really nice hanging plant since it’s something that she would really love…
And my Maid/Matron of Honor is co-hosting it so I was thinking of getting her some bath and body stuff and doing the whole “From my shower to yours…” thing.

I’m getting my mom a small canvas print, a small bottle of homemade vanilla and a bottle or two of wine. I have another bottle of vanilla for my MIL-to-be but not sure what else to get her – plant is a good idea!

The plant idea is interesting. I was thinking of a gift certificate to one of her favorite places, but I’m hoping to think of something a little more sentimental.

What about a gift certificate to a spa or to get a mani-pedi so she can pamper herself after throwing a great bash?
ETA: Or to a hairdresser if she wants to get a new haircut or highlights before the wedding.

I like your ideas. Maybe I can pull it off so that she and I can go together. Just mother and daughter. I live out of town, so I’m sure she’d love an extra excuse for me to come home.

Well, I know that this an old thread but I figure I’d post about what I decided to give my Mom as a thank you for throwing my shower.
