Ladies, my husband and I are writing our thank you cards, and we are at a loss as to what to write to people who contributed to our honeymoon registry, which is our main registry. We registered for specific activites (snorkeling, dinner, hotel say, etc) on Travelers’ Joy. We are also not taking our honeymoon until October (3 months after our wedding), and we want to finish writing thank you cards as close to the wedding as possible. I started with “you’ll be on our minds as we enjoy a picnic by the sea on Santorini,” but it seems silly, and obviously as a honeymooning couple we don’t plan on thinking about our friends and families that much, even though we love them. I know I am overthinking this, but any suggestions on wording would be much appreciated!

why not just say something like: Thank you so much for the snorkeling excursion for our honeymoon. We are so incredibly excited for the trip in October and we know the snorkeling is going to be a highlight thanks to you. We promise to send you pictures!
obviously that’s just the meat of it for the thank you about the gift, but hopefully it helps and you can fill in the before and after. one thing…definitely email pics when you return. i’m sure they’ll love it!

We recommend that you send your guests a personal Thank You note that mentions how much you appreciate their generous gift and how excited you are to use it on your honeymoon. Then, after your honeymoon, consider sending photo postcards of an activity, experience, or beautiful scenery during your honeymoon. Be sure both of you are in the photo!
Enjoy your honeymoon and thank you for choosing Traveler’s Joy!

I agree with @jbessjammer: about the basics.

We are also registered with Travler’s Joy and just got our very first wedding gift last week- YAY! The guest bought us a boat ride to the island of Capri and a bottle of limoncello.
We sent a thank you note to the guest that said “We are so excited about the honeymoon. Fiance was expecially looking forward to the boat ride to Capri because it is a hydrofoil and we’ve never been on one. We can’t imagine a better souvenir from the island of Capri than a bottle of Limoncello. Looking forward to seeing you at the wedding! Love, B&G. PS- we’ll be sure to take lots of photos and share then with you on our return.”
Our plan is to follow up with the pictures a week after we return from Italy.
