I’m hoping one of you etiquette experts can help me with this one. Today is the last day of work before I start nursing school. My coworkers (60+ people) threw me a huge going away party and gave me 2 expensive group gifts. I have no idea how to thank everyone. I don’t want to leave without saying thanks. There are a few people that I know very well and see outside of work often, but the majority are people that I have talked to a few times a week over the last 5 years.
I left a big note posted in my office for everyone to see saying thanks, but I don’t feel like that was adequate considering everything they did for me.

Could you send coffee to them? For 60+ people you’d need like 3-4 “canteens”. It would probably be like $50-60….

My coworkers went in together for a wedding gift for me as well. I sent out an email to everybody thanking them, as well as sent a card to the office addressed to everybody which someone posted on the bulletin boards. I’m sure nobody expects more than your heartfelt thanks and mention of how much you enjoyed working with them all.
If you really want to do something more, maybe send them some sort of snack. A couple boxes of donuts go a long way in my office.

Thanks for the suggestions. The person that organized it actually had a list of people that contributed. It’s a huge list, but I am going to go ahead and send them all thank you notes. It will be good practice for my 250 wedding guests I suppose.
