I planned on giving each of our vendors a thank you note along with their check but now I’m getting stuck on the logistics. Since I’m writing it beforehand is it strange to say “thanks for doing a great job.” I’m not sure what to write about that beyond this. Should I send the note after the wedding and just give them the check at the wedding? What did you do?

@MrsBeck: What about saying ” thank you for making our day special” ?

@MrsBeck: Send the note after the wedding, once you can actually comment on how (hopefully!) great their services were. Also, write nice reviews on yelp, weddingwire, or whatever.

We are doing the same thing, giving our thank you cards with final payments at the end of the wedding. Since they won’t be reading it until after their job is done, I think it’s okay to tell them thank you for their work (however you word it) in that card. How about adding something like “it’s been a pleasure working with you over the last few months in preparation for our special day”? It doesn’t need to be long and wordy, sweet and to the point I say.

@GeorgiaBride5: Thanks! I think I will use this almost exactly. I have such a problem with being wordy but for these I’ll keep it short and sweet 🙂
