I will have to admit that i was fairly proud of myself with thank you cards. I bought Hawaii postcards prior to our wedding. We took the Sunday off after the wedding so I was able to go through our gifts and make a list. I wrote our thank you cards on the plane on the way to Hawaii and sent them while we were there. This was for gifts we recieved before and on the day of our wedding.
Fast forward to when we got home. We had tons of gifts that were mailed and recieved after, as to be expected. We are almost at two months and I just wrote the remaining thank you cards tonight. I can’t help but feel guilty that it has taken me so long to do these.
How long did it take you to write all of your thank you cards?

Somewhere around the 2 month mark, though some might have been closer to 3. I have one that I keep forgetting to look up the new address for though. Yikes.

I have been working on mine all weekend. I am just about done. I have one guest thank you card left to write and five vendor thank you cards to write. I will wait to send two out because they go to my grandmother and my hubby’s parents who were not able to make it to the wedding. The only reason I am waiting to send theirs is so that I can send them an album with pictures. The pictures should arrive on wednesday and then I will fill and write notes in the album, then send them off by next Monday, so I chose less than two months. I also had to wait to receive the thank you cards because I ordered photo cards.

We didn’t leave for the honeymoon until a week after the wedding, so I wrote them then. Then if we got any late gifts I did them as I got them. I’m a little crazy about getting things done early though!

I really really wanted to make sure that the thank yous went out with time to arrive before Christmas (they were kind of doubling as Christmas cards), so I had most of them done 2 weeks after the wedding. We had one that went out later because I didn’t receive a gift noification about it until just before Christmas (it was purchased before the wedding but we didn’t know who had bought it).

It took me about a month and a half to finish all thank you cards for gifts that we received right after the wedding (when we got back from our honeymoon). We still received gifts for another few months after that and for those I immediately sent out thank you cards

I am happy to see that I am not the only person that has taken a few months to get all the thank you notes out. I still have about 8 to do and I am hoping to finish those off this afternoon.
I am planning on writing a few thank you notes to vendors also but I want to order a pic of my wedding cake and the musicans before I send out those thank you notes.

I got about half of them done right away but the other half are still waiting to be written, very bad. I am working two jobs and going to school so life has been a little busy! Maybe this Monday, my first day off since the new Year, I will get to them.

You ladies are soooo good. I just mailed mine out last week. And I haven’t done the shower ones yet (it was the week before the wedding).
Honestly, I think I am WAY overdue getting tese done.
