So I’ve been on Weddingbee for about a month now and I’ve been seeing post for Moissanite. At first I thought, “What is that? Is that like mosaic? Some sort of décor or something?” I left it at that but then I started seeing more and more post for it and curiosity got the best of me (good thing I’m not a cat!) and I decided to look it up. That’s when it kind of hit me. “Oh my gosh where have you been all my life!”
For me, out of the 4Cs of diamonds, cut is the most important C for me, clarity would be next. I love the sparkle and want a ring that has the best fire and brilliance. After seeing all those posts about Moissanite I have a pretty good feeling that Moissanite is the gemstone for me. I know it has its good points and its bad points, one of them being that they seem to be sold online more than in stores which is hard to do when looking for quality, and I am in no way trying to replace or pass it off as a Diamond but, taking Moissanite into consideration as its own gemstone in its own right, I think it’s the right choice for me.
I’m hoping to find a store and be able to see one in person within a week or two to make my final decision. Again, thank you for bringing this wonderful, beautiful gemstone to my attention!

I have a friend who has a moissanite as well, but didn’t know too much about it. WB was so helpful in helping me make a decision to buy moissanite. I love my ring and don’t try to pass it as a diamond, most people who know me know it’s a moissanite.
Try searching for local jewelers who have access to moissanite. I was able to see my stone before purchasing! Good luck! 🙂

@MsYellowJacket: Oh I know! Weddingbee has help so much in this decision. I’m so glad my fiancé didn’t go out and get a ring right away lol. It gave us a great opportunity to discover this wonderful gem. Thanks for the advice. I’ll look around. I think Kohl’s and Sears actually might sell them, just don’t know how big their section is. Most important thing is to see what it looks like in person to see if I really do like it or not. Everyone seems to have a good experience with MoissaniteCo so we might go through them but I’m not sure. I can’t seem to find them on the Charles and Colvard website so I’m wondering if they’re a legit Moissanite seller.

I am so glad I discovered Moissanite too! I’m already married but when Darling Husband gave me the go ahead to get an upgrade, I did A LOT of research and discovered it. I almost thought it was too good to be true at first LOL! But after doing some reading I discovered that it isn’t, at all.
I got my ring from moissaiteco they were great and I LOVE my ring. Someone, I don’t remember who posted something about moissaniteco and Charles and Colvard. I can’t remember exactly what it said either (sorry, I’m no help LOL). But they are a legit Moissanite seller. Also, you can purchase a loose stone from them just to see what it looks like and make sure you like it. If not, you can always send it back. I took a gamble and just bought a ring from them, but I am so glad I did!!
