Yea – the way she phrased that it makes it look like YOU would be the rude one if you didn’t automatically state “No!  That’s ok!”

But I would have just ignored that part alltogether.

It is just weird to me that she is saying she has money issues and is offering you 100.00 to pay for the wedding. If she wanted to send the money, she should have just sent a card telling you how much she regrets not being there with the money in it. Also, she kind of ends it ratherly impersonal in my opinion…weird.

I interpreted it as saying she would send you $100 to cover her plate – assuming she had already rsvp’d yes and suddenly couldn’t come, and  you would be left paying for food that wouldn’t be eaten.
