I literaly grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and was like “MOTHER!!!! TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOWWWWW!!!!!”

Hahaha that was so funny I nearly spat out my coffee!! Look at what this waiting is making us do!!!

I reckon it must be a shiny present…. exciting!!!

You never know though! My mom has the WORST time keeping a secret. She even tried to ask me “What is a Garmin?” to ‘throw me off’ right after she bought one for me for Christmas–i know she knew what it was!!

Anyway, I overheard my SO asking my mom (she has the family diamond, so he had to ask both parents). And then a week later my mom’s best friend said “I though for sure SO came home with you last weekend to ask for the diamond! But your mom said he didn’t…weird.”

So for this, my mom was able to keep it a secret from me AND from her best friend. And I thought for sure she wouldn’t be able to. Something like this that would be such a surprise, I’m sure your mother would be able to hide it from you.

Either way, enjoy the weekend and keep us updated!

Yeah I agree its possible she’s just being sneaky too. But just incase I would focus on enjoying the birthday whatever the surprise may be.

Awww, don’t put your Mom in that position! DH asked both of my parents together and they just completely avoided all contact with me from that moment until the proposal. I was like “Why won’t my Mom call me back??”
