Thank you ladies so much for your kind words. I recently ordered a gown from preowned and tried it in and felt disappointed. With so many suggestions and positive vibes I really really sat and thought about it. I put in some spanks and spent 1/2 hr in the dress tonight and really nailed down that A) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress and B) the reason I didnt Love the dress on me initially is bc I think it’s 1 size to small (or more like I’m 1 size to big) and I tried it in my basement without much light and it really looked tan, not at all blush. I think after it’s fitted properly, either so my weight loss or seamstress taking it in where it needs to be and out where it needs to be the dress will be perfect.
I also think I’m insecure bc I haven’t had support in dress shopping. My mom never came with me, my MOH or bridesmaids didn’t either. I did all my dress shopping alone pretty much except with my FI aunt who was at my house knee and came with me. Other than you bees, it’s been pretty solo! When I opened the box and the dress wasn’t packed pretty my heart sank, when it was shorter than expected my heart sank, when I looked chubbier than i expected and the dress looked darker, my heart sank. But honestly tonight after thinking about it all and spending time in the dress I am overwhelmed and excited! It’s a great motivator to lose a few pounds!
THANK YOU for all the positivity. I truly appreciate it!

Yay! Good for you! I’ve read some really sad and negative posts tonight, so it’s nice to hear a happy one! Love your dress and love yourself!

Mrs.Z.: I went back to look at it and I’m glad you thought about it because it’s really beautiful! I love the color and material and flower details. So pretty! If you get in let out slightly to fit you’ll probably feel way better 🙂

I saw the your post the other night but didn’t respond. I’m going to respond now…..that dress is very adorable, very original, not cookie cutter. Ok, I had to read why you were disappointed , I understand weight. I have the same struggle. Eat smart. Cut carbs. :). Choir preaching hear. The lenght I thought was ok. As well as the color. Looks pink … Yes, lighting in room makes everything different. Ignore the negative remarks. there is a difference in helpful remarks verse personal taste. Enjoy!
Ps ….sometimes shopping alone is not a bad thing. I went alone but when I bought my dress I had two people with me and felt rushed. I wish I was alone and could have enjoyed the experience.

I don’t know if I commented on your first post, but I remember seeing it and thinking that the dress looked really cute and unique, and that it made your waist look small, so I was like, “muffin top whaaaa?” Didn’t even notice. I think too that the warmer, non-white color fits the whimsical feel.

I was one of the bees who commented in your other thread and suggested a waist cincher type garment. we compare ourselves to magazine pics, but a lot of the time, celebrities are in all kinds of spanx and other garments to make the most if what they have. Glad you tried it on with some!
Baby weight can be so tough, but honestly, you didn’t look heavy in the other pictures. Glad you’re feeling better about your dress!
