We always do potluck since we have 4 local families coming together.

I’m making pumpkin cheesecake (1st timer, hoping for the best)

and corn casserole

hoping that somebody else makes some good potatoes!

My mom is making turkey and stuffing

SIL is making apple crisp, green bean casserole, and glazed carrots.

Sister is making bread and…..something else. Hopefully potatoes! 🙂

We’re vegetarians and it’ll be just the two of us this year since I’m now off travel as my due date approaches and family is 5.5 hours away. Normally, we’d have a field roast, but we’re doing sides-only this year. All items will be made at homr from scratch:

  • creamed spinach
  • orange-scented cranberry sauce
  • garlic mashed potatoes
  • stuffing
  • brussels sprouts with pecans and cranberries
  • bread

Butternut squash soup is still a possibility, but it just might be too much with all the rest for just 2 people.

@kala_way:  Make the cheesecake at least a day in advance if not more. Cheesecake gets better after a few days in the fridge.

@mrsSonthebeach:  Thanks! I was planning to do it on Wednesday afternoon but maybe I’ll do it tomorrow instead! Guess that gives me time in case I mess it up too!

It’s just me and my SO this year. I’m making:

  • mixed greens salad with goat cheese, candied pecans, and honey balsamic vinegrette
  • herb & garlic cornish hens (I didn’t want to make a turkey for just the 2 of us)
  • goat cheese & rosemary mashed sweet potatoes
  • stuffing
  • garlic pepper green beans
  • apple cobbler

I can’t wait!
