My advice is to change your phone number! 😉 Or, more seriously, engage less with this aunt from now on, let your Fiance, or Future In-Laws, deal with her! Good luck!

Ugh I have an aunt like that too. Don’t fall for her scare tactics! What she’s really trying to do is secure an invitation for your wedding. If you give her a firm shower date and she knows it, well that’s as good as inviting her to it right? And everybody knows if you’re invited to the shower you’re also invited to the main event, right? If you’re not sure whether or not your Fiance wants to consider her…now would be a good time to ask. And if he doesn’t know yet it’s time to deflect, distract and go on the defensive. A good “nothing is set in stone Aunt Cray Cray, but Fiance will let you know” is awesome. Or “the hotels are running out of rooms? And the World Series will be held on that same day two blocks away from our venue? Holy Batman! Thanks for letting us know! Have a good day!” Ya know? I’ll bet you anything that if you ask around she doesn’t get invited (except by common courtesy where there is no socially graceful out) to most family events so she’s trying to rope you in. If the bride herself tells you you’re invited who could dispute that? Not even the MOG…
