We’re having our reception at an Art Center. It has the ground floor and a mezzanine floor. We have about 175 guests and squeeze them on both floors. We can fit people I know, but it’s a matter of how comfortable can people be. What we’re having a hard time deciding is the layout with the buffet tables, cake table, DJ and bar. We’re having buffet tables and bar on both floors to make it easy for everyone. But the space. ahhhhhhhh!!! With 175 guests, it’s been hard to decide on the layout.

The first picture is the 1st floor, we’re thinking of taking out few tables to fit in the buffet area, cake table, DJ and bar. Yea, challenging. Then the 2nd floor has separate rooms with glass walls. The bottom room in the picture, we’re using it for our photobooth. So pretty much put the rest of the guest tables, buffet area and bar whatever is left. Yea you see the challenge? Then there’s the dreaded 60-inch tables that can only fit 8 people. Can we fit 9? aiyayayya. I’m going crazy. And the wedding is in 2 weeks. Venue person has not be helpful on this so blah.

I’d be careful about putting the buffet or bar too close to the stairs- if there are a lot of people in line, you don’t want to block the stairs.
On the 2nd floor, maybe put the bar over near the photo booth- it would be weird to have just one table over there by itself- kind of isolating.
