That moment sucks….That moment also motivates and makes you recognize what has changed in your life since then! I gained a one hour one way commute, bad eating habits, and a boring running route half as long as my prior one…
My plan- walking on lunch every day, increase my nightly run by switching up my route, sticking to my meal schedule, only cooking elaborate meals on Friday/Saturday.
Will become this, again:
Who’s with me!?

I am so with you. I recognized the extra 5-7 pounds a little over a month ago and have been working hard at the gym ever since. I am almost there and my consistency is to thank for that! Can’t stop now.

Anna113619: I just printed these pics out side by side so I can hang them in my cube for motivation. No more excuses. My diet has changed so much because of this job and it needs to stop. Plus I started getting very adventurous in my cooking. I might pull out a favorite piece of clothing I can’t wear anymore and put it out as a reminder.

jpalm13: I have a picture taken last November that I use as motivation. I modified my diet a bit but I am careful not to be too restrictive because it just never works. I am mostly just focusing on vigorous exercise at LEAST 4 days a week. It is working… the days I don’t break a sweat I actually MISS the gym. yay. good luck, keep me posted!

jpalm13: You look great in both pictures. 🙂 Meh, 5-7 pounds doesn’t bother me too much. I start noticing when it’s over 10-12 pounds and by then it’s so, so much harder to get it back off, lol. I should be more proactive. I have been such a slug this winter. Thank heavens spring has finally sprung around here (NC).

I definitely gained weight this winter – about 13lbs. I’ve lost 3 pounds and already my clothes feel better. Just 10 more to go before I’m back to a reasonable weight. I’m hoping I can do it by the summer.

jpalm13: Ugh more like 20 lbs!
I was doing SO well last year and lost a good 17 lbs…only to add 7 back!
My eating habbits have gotten bad again and i stopped running and doing my work out video. I just am ALWAYS busy after work and the days i am not, i just want to sleep! I stopped my routine around the holidays and now its April and i haven’t quite picked it up yet 🙁
Last year i signed up for a 5k, knowing good and well i couldnt run more than 3 minutes straight – so it really put pressure on me and gave me a goal to work towards. I have a dance competition coming up this year and you would think that would be enough motivation but….hasn’t found its way here yet!
I need to get going!

Ughh, I wish it was only 5-7 pounds. Mine is more like 20! It was a very slow gain though and that’s how it always gets me. Before I met my husband I realized I had packed on 20-30lbs and changed my eating habits. By the time I met my husband, I was down 20lbs. Well, slowing over our 3 year relationship I’ve gained back those 20 lbs. I know it’s all because of my eating habits because I haven’t changed my job or exercise habits. I like to blame my husband because he can eat whatever and how much ever he wants and I just starting eating like him when we starting dating. Now I’m miserable again. It’s so hard though because when I lost the weight before it was because I only had to worry about feeding myself and I was able to restrict my eating way easier than having to cook for both of us (one of which doesn’t need to watch his weight).
So after that ridiculous amount of explaining…yes, I am with you! Let’s get our shit together 😉

Sunfire: Thanks I border into the realm of 10 over on some days right now. Its more that the pants back then don’t fit anymore. The kind of not able to button them not fit. And those are all of my really nice clothes.
starlitgirl: You can do it! I started here about 5 years ago at 150ish
IzzyBear: Let’s do it! This extra weight is going to learn who’s boss and hubby will learn to like simple cooking!
kbeaster: I’ll check em out. Thanks!

jpalm13: Good job! You look great!
I used to be about 250 pounds and eventually got down to 170. I’m about 15 pounds more now, so I’m fighting my way back to my “normal” maintenance weight. Like I said…hopefully by the summer I’ll be there! It is hard to sustain a long term weight loss, but it is worth it.

jpalm13: Let’s do this!!! Been there done that! I gained so much weight after the wedding, starting with the Honeymoon, of course, and then continued through the holidays. I decided NO MORE in February and I’m in great shape now. I just hope I stay this way for a long time.. like FOREVER!!

starlitgirl: I did pretty good for a while but its caught up to me. I think the long commute (my definition being 1 hour one way on the highway) is what really got me. My routine changed a lot. You have quite an accomplishment, even so!

I haven’t seen my recent 5-7lbs weight gain, but I feel it! Just in the past couple weeks I noticed my clothes being just a pinch tighter… I need to reel this in before it gets any worse! Good on you for recognizing it and getting your butt in gear. I need the same.

jpalm13: haha. I actually made one of his favorite meals last night with Whole Grain egg noodles and he didn’t even notice! And this is coming from the man who says he hates whole grain pasta. I almost died when he told me it was the best I’ve made yet!
