I just ordered our save the dates and it was very emotional. I proof read and Fiance proof read and approved them, yet I was so anxious and nervous about hitting the “submit you order” button…I mean we are getting married, but we REALLY are putting this thing in motion. Every time I pay something toward or order something for the wedding I get this feeling, it’s scary and exciting all at the same time.
Any Bees out there get this feeling?

As soon as I had everything addressed, stamped and on its way to be sent at FH’s work I was SO ecstatic. It was my first ‘THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING’ moment… because now everyone knows! I have ordered a metric ton of wedding related crap and this was my first moment of ‘eep!’ (Other than the proposal )

I had that feeling when we sent out save-the-dates. It was a feeling of, not only are we planning this thing, but now people are actually going to be attending! 🙂

I totally had this feeling as well! I’m pretty sure Darling Husband and I shared that moment together when our save-the-dates went out. We looked at each other with these big eyes of “OMG OMG” hahaha. 😀

Yep! When we ordered save-the-dates I had the same feeling…and when we put our deposit down on the wedding planner (first big wedding expense!)

I am totally with you. I got very emotional when I saw our invites in my hands. I can’t wait to send them in February!

Sending out our save-the-dates was my first “this is really happening” moment! Crazy how all the other stuff, even finding my dress, didn’t really hit me like that did!

I’ve had several small moments like that but the big one was just a few minutes ago when we sent the application for the marriage license! Ack!

@lina010: ALL THE TIME! Sometimes I look at Fiance and think “This man will be my husband. WHAT??”
It’s the excited, nervous, anxious, what-the-crap feeling!

I think my big moment of reality (besides my telling my Darling Husband that he could move forward with his plans to propose, as he was ready to ask me much sooner than I was certain that I was ready to say yes) was when we moved forward with the ladies and girls ordering their bridesmaids’ and junior bridesmaids’ dresses. When I thought about the fact that I was now asking OTHER PEOPLE to commit THEIR MONEY to this venture, that was pretty daunting!

@lina010: Putting the invites in the mail! I look back on that anticipation & excitement fondly : )

One of the bees posted a picture in the worst wedding photos thread. Her and Fiance are on a blanket holding “I do” letters and she said the photography said to look t each other and think about how they’re getting married and their looks totally made me think of this thread!!
The moment hasn’t crept up on me yet but every now and then I think of a detail (like dress shopping!) that makes me go “woah we’re actually going to have a WEDDING. Insanity”

Haha, I had this moment when I wrote the check for the venue.
The venue was our first wedding purchase and as my hand raised to give the lady the check, my hand was shaking, lol!
My husband yells out “your hand is shaking,” and we all just cracked up. 🙂 It was a total “we are really doing this” fun/nervous/butterfly moment.

I didn’t get that until people started asking about how soon the wedding date was!

Ditto to the save-the-date emotions. Additionally, I got excited after guests started receiving them and visiting our website … So I had another “moment” when I checked the page visits and it was at 70! haha
