Are you following a plan? I’ve had pretty good luck with WW online, and I know a number of bees do the FitnessPal and Spark (free options).

@jen 42713:  Good luck!

A bunch of bees are also on MyFitnessPal.com for motivation, food tracking, etc.

There’s a thread about it floating around.

I used My Fitness Pal in the past and had great results. I plan on starting a diet soon. My wedding is 2 yrs away but I want to get in te habit of eating right well before I start dress shopping. I wish you the best of luck!

Oh I have also heard great things about weight watchers.

Best way to loose inches is to do resistance training – bands and/ or weights.  Cardio is fine to do as well, but you often end up loosing muscle if you don’t incorporate resistance training.  You can definitely get to your goal size, you go girl!!

@jen 42713:  Good effort to start, but if you intend to really lose weight, you need to substantially increase your protein intake.  Based on that meal, it looks like you probably only took in 20-30 grams for the day, and that’s really, really low.  You need a more substantial breakfast, a balanced lunch, and skip the chocolate bunny!  I recommend eating small meals (200-300 calories) every 2-3 hours to keep your metabolism going.

I second abbie017’s advice! I have never gone on a strict diet myself but I have heard from my girlfriends who have been/are on one that they either have a really big breakfast that they can burn off the rest of the day, a moderate size lunch and a small dinner, or eat 200-300 calories every 2-3 hours to keep the metabolism going. One thing you should also note is how late your last food intake is because you don’t want to eat something and go to bed about an hour later. Your last meal/snack of the day should always be AT LEAST 2 hours (but preferably, 3) before you go to bed! You can do it! 🙂

Oh, and if you’re tempted to snack on something late at night, brush your teeth right after dinner! It really keeps you from reaching out for something else to munch on while watching tv!

You go girl!  You can do it…just take small steps and don’t get discouraged! 🙂

I’ve found a couple <healthier> foods that help manage my cravings: instead I choose pickles, banana w/ light natural peanut butter, watermelon, asparagus w/ olive oil.

Also, not sure if your a drinker but a glass of wine before dinner really helps! I hate to admit it but I turn to that almost every night (partially to unwind, partially to eat less!).
