You can’t control what date they pick. All you can do is make clear that you aren’t changing your own date, that you have put money down, and that you hope it works out for everyone.

@mightywombat:  I agree.

You already put a deposit down, and these people keep changing their minds on their date, while you can’t control what date they eventually choose. Just accept it if it is the same, and be understanding if people choose to attend that one instead.

I agree that you can’t really do anything about it except if you’re asked just kind of shrug your shoulders and say, “Well, the money’s been deposited on the venue so that’s the day we’re having our wedding! We can’t just change it…”

I think they need to change the date if anything. You have deposits put down so you should not have to change the date!

I would keep your date. You can’t control which date thet pick and like you said, if his cousin uis a bit wishy washy, I wouldn’t worry about it until they’ve actually set a date.

I wouldn’t worry about it, since it is family from overseas.  If they really are that wishy-washy, they may change their minds again before the end of the week.

Send out Save-The-Date Cards so the family is fully aware that your wedding is happening on said date.
