The first thing that came to mind when the consultant brought the dress into my dressing room was that is so ugly, I can’t believe she pulled that, that isn’t even close to what I want. So I told her I really don’t want to try that dress on, she looked at me (luckily she was a friend of my mom’s or she probably wouldn’t have been so forceful) and said “you promised to try on all the dresses I brought to you!” Ugh fine I tried the thing on. I walked out to the show room and looked into the mirror, HOLY CRAP! It was gorgeous!!! I instantly knew it was my dress, so of course I bought it π I would have never pictured myself in a dress like this, I really didn’t like dresses like it and would have never thought to try it on but she made me and I’m so glad she did. So lesson to you all, don’t judge a dress by the hanger, it could end up being the one!

Very pretty I love the skirt. And yes its always important to keep an open mind when dress shopping. I bought a dress that had everything I said I didn’t want too π

It looks gorgeous on you! I ended up with the dress that I wasn’t so sure about when my consultant brought it to me.

I had a similar experience too – I didn’t think anything of the dress when the consultant brought it to me, but I grudgingly tried it on and yup, it was the one! Your dress looks great on you π

@alyssaC: That’s kinda what happened to me with my dress! I had found the dress I wanted, but couldn’t afford, so anything in comparasion I hated. However, the dress I tried on and ended up getting was one that was NOT the style I was looking for or even thought I wanted. But I tried it on anyway. I LOVED IT.
Funny how things like that happen. π

Your dress is beautiful! I had the same experience only with my mom. She pulled the dress and I told her it looked like my grandmothers dirty curtains…
. She made me try it on and I LOVED it. It turns out mommy knows best in this case. lol

It looks lovely on you! Especially for a sample, it fits really well. Nice choice, and good for you for being open minded in the end!
