I have seen so many posts about how much harder life is as a parent. They make parenting seem like drudgery. After being thrown into life as a parent, I absolutely love it and do not understand why so many people make it seem like a drag. Any parents care to share their happiness after becoming a parent?

Nothing can compare to the joy of seeing the child in your care learn an grow. It’s absolutely amazing to see him/her learning and figuring out problems on his/her own.

I’m with you 1000%! I love every minute. Of course there are challenges, but they are minor in comparison to the joys!

I thought this said “The joys of painting” and came here expecting a thread on Bob Ross.
Apparently I misread. 😸

SO far, I like it, but it is exhausting. He is 3 weeks old lol. It is such a special love I have for him, I can’t explain it. Also, my hubby is very involved with our little Levi and I can’t get enough watching him and our son interact.

Most people post when things are hard/not going well not when things are going good so that’s usually why.

I’ve been a Stay-At-Home Mom for 16 months now. I love it and love my daughter a disgusting amount but there were really, really hard and lonely times. It’s so much easier and fun when they start walking and entertaining themselves. But overall I’m happier than I was before, but it has put a dent in my marriage if I’m honest.

I love being a parent! Though there are tough times.
I agree with knpswp : , most people don’t post about good stuff because most people post to get advice. You don’t need advice if things are going well. Haha.

I love my baby SO FREAKING MUCH. His smile and his laugh sometimes make me feel like my heart is on fire, I feel so much joy and love. When he’s sleeping, no matter how exhausting the day was or how cranky he got, I miss him. Sometimes I look at the baby monitor for a half an hour, just staring at him. #momconfessions
ETA: Oh, and I was staunchly CFBC and strongly disliked children. And babies freaked me out and I never thought they were cute.

It might also be how information is perceived. My baby arrived by emergency c-section, she never took to a bottle and at 13 months she still doesn’t sleep through the night.
But I just don’t care because she is AWESOME. And so fun, happy, sweet and joyful. She’s such a character. Laughs are plentiful in our house but my fair share of tears along the way too!

My son is a year and a half and he just started calling mama and running into my arms when I haven’t seen him for a few hours. *heart explodes*

There is nothing better in this world than hearing my 3 year old say “I love you, mommy” or having my 1 year old hug my neck so tight. Sure there are a lot of difficult times/moments, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
