    ROLL CALL!  Hi Ladies – Kinda sad to be joining this board, but it’s kinda nice to have a place to vent.  The POAS boards are so awesome, but sometimes I need a little bit more comiseration about how long this process is taking!

    Cycles/months trying:  Cycle/Month 7.  Had a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage in cycle 5 at 17 DPO.

    Current CD/DPO:  CD3

    Chart (if you have one):    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Citybear

    Any known issues?  As part of my bloodwork after my chemical, my thyroid levels showed hypothyroidism. Trying to get that under control now.  Also have a shortish LP (11 days) and spotting leading up to AF

    Supplements/medications:  prenatals.  I tried a B complex to lengthen my LP, but it seems to just delay ovulation for me.  I got my BFP the cycle we used pre-seed so will continue using that.

    Next steps? My doctor said to give it a few months after my thyroid is at normal levels.  Next step would be cycle day 3 bloodwork probably in cycle 9 of TTC.

    FOR FUN: What’s your favorite holiday and why?   Christmas! I love giving gifts ๐Ÿ™‚  Also I love the winter!

    @ShellVee:  @phoebephoebo:  @trinity_542:  I need some gym buddies too!  I’ve gained 10 pounds since coming off the pill in this whole TTC process.  Not good – my doctor wants me to lose some weight.  The recent weight gain put my BMI into the ‘obese’ category.  So not cool ๐Ÿ™

    @phoebephoebo:

    @CityBearBride:

    well my motivation up and left with the 32-39C (90-102F) heat we have had – thou I did go walk in the local pool and use some water weights yesterday so I kinda tried hehe.

    School is over in 4 more workdays – I’m thinking in the Hols I may have to get up and go to the gym at 6.30-7am before the heat kicks in ๐Ÿ™‚ I really am determined to get this weight off!

    AFM: I caved and POAS yesterday (BFN) but I’ve been good today ๐Ÿ™‚ I “have” to tomorrow because AF is due tomorrow and I have to go to a Xmas party tomoro night. No signs of AF yet so maybe FF was right and I O’d late. Been feeling gross, nauseated and dizzy lately but I KNOW it is more likely because I’ve been busy so in the heat I’m not drinking enough and I have forgotten to eat lunch 3 times this week *sigh* THAT won’t help my weight either haha. Oh well – crazy busy weekend ahead it’ll hopefully stop me obsessing over AF especially if she doesn’t arrive tomorrow…

    @ParaSarah:  to answer your question – I don’t cope well with it very well. I generally sulk to Darling Husband how it’s not fair. I have been lucky that so far everyone that I know that has gotten KU have lived so far away I don’t have to put on my happy face around them. A lot of my mates are CBC so hopefully I wont have to deal with it any time soon – unfortunately if any of them get KU they don’t know we’ve been trying so I am not sure how I will cope if any of those couples announce… Pretty much now I go do what I can’t do if I was pregnant – drink a cider or eat a soft serve and it makes me feel marginally better… Hehehe

    Kinda related but not but it has also made me decide I don’t want to announce WHEN I get KU on FB because I don’t want to upset anyone maybe going thru what I am now and I think I am going to be more aware of others around me and try to complain less about being pregnant. My SIL whinges non-stop both when she was ku and now since her bub has been born and every time my heart hurts – luckily she lives 4hour flight away so I don’t have to deal with the complaining face to face.

    sorry that was a novel.

    @CityBearBride:  Big time! So many people on the POAS boards are new and so enthusiastic and when you’re trying for longer it’s easier on here where people understand the frustration of waiting longer for a bfp!

    @trinity_542:  I hope we all graduate soon!! Ughhh!!! Really want that BFP yesterday!! I’m alright-I’ve  good days and bad days!! And I keep gettingbleeding two weeks after D&C!! And I was hoping for a normalish cycle!!How about you? Any sign of AF going? It must be so frustrating when all you want to do is get back to dd!!

     @ParaSarah:  I have a friend who is pregnant at the moment on her first cycle trying. I just had an MC after trying 8 months and I will admit to feelings I wouldn’t admit to her!! Im hoping when I see her that i can put on a brave face!! And then maybe go home and cry to DH!! It is really tough but I have to believe it will be worth it. Maybe talk to someone IRL who had had a similar experience. I’m lucky that I have a couple of friends who have come out the other end that I can actually vent these feelings to!!!

    @CityBearBride:  I gained weight when pregnant and I’m completely paranoid about it!! Definitely need motivation tohget back to exercise! I never bother with bmi. I always focus ongetting to a healthy weight and looking good/healthy!!

    @ShellVee:  Ha ha!!! Feel no sympathy!! Only kidding! Is there good air-con in the gym? We had an unusually hot (for Ireland!) summer last year and the only place I could exercise in is the gym. I’d say with end of year you’re not going to get too much done in the next week anyway. We’re the same and it’s just end of term for us. I’m trying to get a start on nxt term plans and we’ve a concert nxt week. It’s going to be crazy. I don’t see much gym happening at all but we’ll see!

    @trinity_542:  Ah, you poor thing! It’s so strange. Did he even give you advice regarding diet etc that might help? I’m wondering if there’s a natural way to help. I’ve very heave periods and the odd time I’ve used something called cyklokapron (tranexamic acid) which helps reduce flow.  I know that doesn’t help the main issue but at least you’ll feel more comfortable. Tg for the weekend at least!!!

    Really need to vent and I’m sorry that this is the place I’m  doing it!!

    Have been alternating neurofen+ and paracetamol after D&C. Finally off them and broke my tooth. Back on them. Then, just when I was feeling better my tooth started hurting again and now I’m antibiotics as well as back on the painkillers. On top of that I’m still bleeding after D&C and hormones still all over the place!!  Just as well I’m not TTC this month. That would be BAD!!!

    Sorry for giving lot here where I know everyone has their own s*#t to deal with. Just pray that the tooth is ok. I don’t think I could cope if I had to lose it (or afford an implant!!).

    @phoebephoebo:  the gym is ok and has air con but it is stinkier in the heat (I swear people don’t realise that in summer especially you HAVE to wear deodorant). We are officially in a heat wave here, been 5-6 days of temps above 35C (95F) blah! Should be dropping tomorrow to 30C (86F) which is good because I have to spend the day at a farm with my school hehe maybe the teacher that volunteered to stay back with the non-attendees had the smartest idea! Hehe

    Post weekend catchup: I POAS on Sat CD28 and again this morning CD30 and both stark white BFNs so I’m waiting for AF now no point in testing any more. AF is now 3 days late, usually CD27 but last month I started nearly a week early so why not be late this month?? *sigh* crazy body!

    I also managed to go to the Xmas party and not drink and no one questioned it so that’s good – it probably helps that with my mates I am off and on drinking these days anyway and rarely ever have more than 2 – hopefully when I CANT drink people won’t question it anyway. Or maybe they were thinking “hmmmmm??” But at least they didn’t ask so YAY!! Hehe

    @ShellVee:  keep us updated!!!

    I found out, on top of my two best friends being pregnant first month trying, my brother and sister in law are also pregnant, first time trying… im up to my ninth cycle. i got my AF the day after my brother told me his news. i havnet talked to my husband about how i feel about everything. im keeping it in. we have so much to be appriciative for that i feel selfish.  i also dont want to tell him because i have a son from a previous relationship. he has no kids. i know he must be stressed as it is thinking its him not me. who knew TTC could be so emotional!
