@BrianneG:  for what it’s worth, my sister and her husband mirrored your “History/Issues” section and they just got their BFP last month after 18 cycles.  I know that it was a terribly frustrating process for her- she actually said she wished that SOMETHING was out of the ordinary so at least they would know why it was taking longer than “normal”.  But the end result for them is a BFP without too much intervention from doctors. I only bring this up because my hope for you is that you won’t have a “long road to unexplained infertility”:)

  • Cycle/Day: CD 40, Cycle 16/Month 18
  • History/Issues: Primary infertility, irregular cycles
  • Chart?: I charted like a madwoman for 15 cycles, now I’m giving it a rest
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle (besides a BFP, obv):  I’m desperately trying to find peace in the decision to take a TTC break next cycle.
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help: Prayer, and prayer and more prayer, and just enjoying the time I have with my husband, rather than wishing away each cycle
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love):  Elchalten, you’re awesome, and a great inspiration. Jag, I’m so happy for this new cycle for you – bring on the babyJag. MrsFarmer, thank you for all the support and kind words. And the rest of you – you rock!
  • Next stepts if this months doesn’t work: We’ll take a break from TTC for awhile, just NTNT, and then begin discussing adoption on our 3rd anniversary
  • Have you tried the Jho PP yet: Yes, MANY times. Hasn’t worked yet, but that doesn’t mean we’ll stop trying
  • How do you stay sane in this IF insane world: running, prayer, the Bee, blogging, and baking

  • Cycle/Day:  Cycle #16/Not sure of the day and I am trying to remain clueless πŸ™‚
  • History/Issues: Age is our biggest issue, which  brings with it high FSH; Low AFC. Low AMH. One positive…No male factors.
  • Chart?:  I charted at the very start of this journey, but the slow rise in my temp drove me crazy so I stopped a few months ago.  It was very hard for me to see the big picture and not focus on each temperature.
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle (besides a BFP, obv):  to find patience and let go of the need to control something that is basically out of my control.
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help:  Trying not to be comsumed with all things TTC and learning to be easier on myself.  You girls are awesome and knowing you are here with love and support is a huge relief.
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love):  You all rock!!!
  • Next stepts if this months doesn’t work: We were going to do IUI w/injectibles this next cycle.  BUT…just found out yesterday that I am no longer immune to rubella, so if we decide to get the immunization that pushes everything back a month.  A month may not seem like a long time, but with age being our biggest enemy is seems like a lifetime to me.  I am tired of getting my hopes up and being let down.  I am tired of crying…
  • Have you tried the Jho PP yet: Absolutely, one of my favorites and we modify it a lot πŸ™‚
  • How do you stay sane in this IF insane world: I don’t.  However, I am trying to focus on things other than TTC and since the summer is here, I am thinking it may be a lot easier to do.

Oh ladies I am at the end of my rope!! My number had dropped 16 pts the first 2 weeks. Last week I was 16 and a week later it is 14. They said it was really unusual that it slowed that much. So more bloodwork Monday. I just dont understand. I was only ever in the mid 50s. So I never got a high beta. I’m so upset. They said they will evaluate it next week. Should I just ask to go to a fertility specialist?? What should I do???

@Wispy:  Nooo! That is so incredibly frustrating. I don’t have any advice, but I would think that your doctors would have some idea of what to do about this. Seeking a second opinion might not be a bad idea. Big hugs for you, friend. πŸ™

@luli29:  Sorry to see you here, but welcome to our thread. Hope you don’t stick around long!

@MRSLMA:  Same goes for you! But I’m looking forward to getting to know you both better since you joined from the POAS threads (and Luli from charting).

@Mrs. Jaguar:  YAYYYY for CD1! And thanks for the shout-out, hon. This month is zooming by! I thought it was going to kill me to take a break, but I’m doing OK for now … and the end is in sight. Let us know if/when you hear back from your clinic!

@redsmarties:  Sorry about CD40. I’m wishing peace for you, too. Breaks can be great or they can suck and it’s a really really fine line between the two. I hope you can find a way to make it a positive experience. And talking about adoption is incredibly exciting! πŸ™‚

@gingersnap25:  Depending on when you start, you and I could be doing injectables together! It would be so good to have a friend to talk with through the process. How soon do you have to decide about the rubella vaccine?

@Wispy:  so sorry to hear! I’m sure this has to be incredibly frustrating and I could only imagine what you are going through! I think I would honestly see the specialist. Like Bunny said, a 2nd opinion wouldn’t hurt. Hopefully they can get things moving on in a better direction. ((Hugs))

Well I finally got my O pains last night (along with an increase in CM yesterday which is unusual for me) so im officially on my 2WW. I’m a little concerned about my progesterone testing tomorrow considering I just O’d yesterday and I read it should be done about 6 days after O? I emailed my Dr but the nurse said the test should be done cd 19-21. So, im worried it will be a waste, oh well….guess ill find out more once the results are in.

@Wispy:  That is so frustrating…I honestly don’t have any advice, but like Bunny, I don’t think a 2nd opinion can hurt.  I just don’t see how they can’t give you more information…Big hugs and good luck!  You are in my prayers.

@bunny:  I would LOVE to have a friend to talk to during the process.  We would likely being starting around the middle of July.  I have short cycles and we were to start soon since AF is due at the end of the week.  That being said, we need to decide ASAP about the vaccine.  Nothing like pressure to make an important decision…  However, I think we are going to get the vaccine and push off IUI until July.  Even thought the risk of contracting rubella in the US is small, I don’t think we could forgive ourselves if something were to happen.  We have put so much time, energy, money into this that we owe it to ourselves to give us the best possible chance.  At least that is where we are right now…

@MrsFarmer:  That makes me tear up. It has been a long and slow process for us and I have a feeling we still have a ways to go. I agree with Jag that staying positive and encouraging others has only ever helped my own outlook, even though it can hurt to be “left behind” when others graduate. The graduates give me hope that things will work out for me, someday!

@gingersnap25:  We would probably start mid-July, too! Assuming I don’t get a period on my own this cycle, I would start provera around July 7 and CD1 would be 18-20th, probably. We haven’t officially decided yet, but I am hoping Mr. Bunny will go for that plan. πŸ˜‰

@bunny: I apologize in advance for this…YAY, injectables buddies!  Sorry I was excited we might be starting right around the same time, but it would be great!  I obviously want you guys to do what is best for you, but a tiny part of me hopes Mr. Bunny jumps on board.  Really, just a tiny part…small, almost infinitesimal, in fact πŸ˜‰

@gingersnap25:  haha … you can totally hope that we’ll be in this together. Since I’m not on meds this month (we’re on a break while I’m trying to lose weight), I’m definitely not expecting to O or get a period. Really, the plan I laid out above is my best-case scenario. I will cross my fingers that you guys get a surprise BFP during this in between cycle. πŸ˜‰

@bunny:  I totally forgot to mention…congrats on the weight loss…that is AMAZING!  An awesome accomplishment.  Hell, sometimes best-case scenarios do come true…here’s hoping!  Thanks for the crossed fingers, but we can NOT get pregnant this next cycle.  The vaccine is actually rubella itself, so if we were to fall pregnant, that would be just the worst.  Looks like we will be taking a step way back this next month.  It will be so werid to change gears and try to avoid pregnancy, which is another great mind game.  Awesome.  But you are more than welcome to cross your fingers for a miracle this current cycle πŸ™‚
