@gingersnap25:  Oh no! I didn’t realize how dangerous the vaccine could be. I’ll go ahead and cross my fingers for myself, then. πŸ˜‰ I saw the Rubella info on my CD3 bloodwork last month, but didn’t understand why it was important until I saw someone (you? someone else?) post about it on the IF thread.

Hello everyone! Longtime lurker. I come with a question: at what point do you make an appointment with a RE? I am currently on Day 53 of cycle 5, and there seems to be no end in sight. I have no symptoms at all, either way. My previous cycles have been between 31-38 days. I also have been experiencing little twinges/pinches in my lower right abdomen every once in awhile, and this feeling has been happening on and off for the past three or four cycles since I got off BC.

Anyway, according to my charts, I tend to O between days 19-21. Of course, I haven’t been consistently charting this cycle. My thermometer stopped giving accurate readings, and then I was just too bummed to get back into the habit. Especially after I got a line on a cheap internet pregnancy test that turned out to be a evap line (that cruelly showed up within 1 minute of the test.) I then had subsequent negatives on tests on days 35, 40, 42, and 45. Blarg.

My husband is absolutely on board that we should go to an RE sooner than later, especially if we will ultimately need some type of intervention. We are both in our early 30s, and we are both very ready to have a kid.

Honestly, though, I am worried that the doctor is going to say something about my weight being an issue. I’ve crept up in pounds over the past 2 years. I am now in the “overweight” category of BMI.

Geez, this is now starting to be an essay with lots of different issues going on. I think that I am just struggling with this, and I don’t want my husband to know how bummed I am getting. Thanks for reading.

@gingersnap25: and everyone else – Thanks!  I stalk this board *constantly* because I miss you guys SO much.  It’s nice to see everyone’s progress, but know that I cry and laugh and get frustrated right along with you (I am just quiet about it now).

Things here are going pretty well – I am almost 8 weeks and our baby has a nice, strong heartbeat.  I have not found pregnancy to be that awesome (I feel like I got hit by a truck most days), but I am so grateful to be here and just keep reminding myself that everything will be okay (FX).

@bunnees:  I don’t know about an RE, but I would definitely call your ob/gyn with those signs. You had a positive test (there’s no way to know for sure whether it was an evap) and your cycle is a lot longer than it’s ever been before. I would definitely ask for blood work to check for a pregnancy that’s not showing up on the HPT, possibly an ectopic. If you’re definitely not pregnant, your ob/gyn can prescribe provera to get you started on a new cycle.

@bunny:  Thanks so much! My previous doctor didn’t seem to think that I should worry or think about reproductive issues (including somewhat long periods) until we had been trying unsuccessfully for a year, but I’d like to get the ball rolling. I am currently hunting for another doctor.

Just wanted to stop in and say that I’m thinking about all of you. Everyone was such a help to me when I was on this thread. Hugs to everyone. I’m doing well. Trying to find the time to follow along but not say too much unless I have specific advice. If any body has Medicated IUI cycle questions you can always PM me and I’ll try to answer.

@MrsFarmer:  Ohhh thank you. And thanks for reading my blog – I love to know that there are people out there following along, even if they’re not commenting. It took a bit of coercing to get DH to write (he dictated to me as we drove, haha), but I’m so glad he did. We’ll see if it can become a regular occurance.

@septcabride:  I’m so excited for you. So sorry that you’re feeling terrible, but at least its a reminder that baby is in there and doing well, right? Keep thread stalking – we love having you here.

Lots of catching up to do. You ladies can talk πŸ™‚

@BrianneG:  Good luck on the Clomid! Is there a reason other than cost (I assume) that you want to give up AP?

View original reply
@Wispy:  No! This can’t be true. Honey, I’m so very sorry. (((hugs))). I like other girls suggestions to get a second opinion. It def won’t hurt. Good luck, my dear.

@silver1:  If my husband would know how much time I spend on here he would def shake his head. I can’t even imagine his expression if he’d know what kind of information and in what detail we share. But as long as he doesn’t ask I won’t offer to tell him πŸ˜‰ Very interesting about your AP. Looks like you are getting closer and closer… FX that it’ll happen soon!

@redsmarties:  Thanks for the special shout out! I second Mrs Farmer – your DH’s post on Father’s day was awesome and very touching. He should contribute more often… πŸ™‚ Hopefully youre cycles become more regular and shorter. Are you still seeing your nutrition/seed specialist?

@gingersnap25:  Aw, I’m sorry that it looks like another delay on your way to IUI. But I’m with you. Rather be safe than sorry.

@MrsFarmer:  Have fun on your business trip. We gonna miss you! Btw – WhatsApp is the free texting App I was talking about. You should get it and then we can go crazy texting each other… lol. Officially we can use it as a “Learning the Swiss language” tool.

@septcabride:  Thanks for the update on your blueberry πŸ™‚ Glad to hear that everything is progressing according to plan.

I get the feeling that even though everyone is kind of waiting for results, next cycles or next treatments to start we are all in a better place right know and try to appreciate all the good things around us. It was heartbreaking to see all the sadness that was going on lately. Hopefully this new energy will last for a long, long time!

@bunnees:  I don’t know about an re (were at 11 months and still not in the care of one) but my gyno says to call her if a cycle passes 60 days. So just on that note id initiate something there soon, but a positive hpt followed by no period concerns me a bit as well and I’d want to bring it to a doctors attention in case it wasn’t asimple evap line.

@redsmarties:  I added your blog to my rss feed last “post your blogs” thread. I always feel Slightly stalker ish since my phone isn’t great for commenting and I don’t keep a blog… Im always hesitant to post pictures, and blogs without pics suck… But i really do love reading them!

@redsmarties:  *hugs* You guys are amazing. You sound so calm and at ease, makes me wish I was more like you. (Instead of openly impatient!) πŸ˜‰

@gingersnap25:  A month is EONS in TTC world. Hang in there! x

@Wispy:  Far out – what is going ON? Is there any way you can ask for a second opinion. Waiting and testing and waiting some more would be very draining. So sorry. *big tackle hugs*

@bunny:  Still waiting, I’m afraid. πŸ™ If they ring during school hours, I won’t be able to answer. I’m hoping for a small miracle where I can catch my phone in my lunch break or after work is over.

@MrsFarmer:  Yay! we love our iPhones. I take 59,000,000 cat and puppy pictures on it. My twitter/facebook friends probably roll their eyes every time.

OMG. Cycle day 2 and I am **NOT** complaining (really!) but the cramps I’m getting right now are unbearable. I forgot to take my Napro (period pain meds) before I left for work and I’m sitting here in agony. Yaaaaaaaargh.

@SapphireSun:  That’s the issue I have with my blog, the picture thing. I have no issues posting pics of my baking, but as soon as it gets personal…well, the blog is mostly anonymous, so I don’t want any stray family members to find it.  Stalk away, my friend – I love it.

@redsmarties:  Ummm no. Pictures of delicious baked goods are always appreciated. I barely even noticed the lack of people pictures. Too distracted by the brownies.
