@Yellow.Clover:  I hope your positive O is coming up soon – sounds like your ovaries are giving you all the ‘right’ symptoms. COME ON!

View original reply
@gingersnap25:  Hells, no. I plan on giving mine pep talks daily for the next few weeks.

@Mrs. Pretzel:  My husband was in a similar place – he was there for me, but didn’t fully understand how HARD the whole thing was. Now that it’s been longer, and he’s seeing ‘regular’ couples conceive with very little effort/heartache, he understands the process a lot better.

@Mrs. Pretzel:  I LOVED ‘The Great Sperm Race!’

View original reply
@redsmarties:  Maybe I should sell you mine, lol. I keep hold of it, on the off chance that I will eventually ovulate on my own and actually NEED it. Silly. I just can’t seem to let it go.

@BrianneG:  It’s not awful. That’s hard – especially the awkward pregnancy ex-friends. Nobody needs that. Ridiculous. Hopefully Clomid will do the trick for you!

@BrianneG:  Your RE sounds awesome!  Sort of jealous! (in a good way!).  And, no, re: your other post, don’t think you’re being “awful” at all…especially for the people that cut you out of your life when they got pregnant.  The pink and blue cake also sounds particularly painful.

OMG ladies, just watched “The Great Sperm Race” with DH after seeing Jag and Pretzel post about it.  First, don’t let your DH’s watch it if they have MF issues…it made mine feel pretty horrible, especially since we just got his repeat SA results back and they were very bad…again.  So, that was a bad idea.  BUT…I can’t get over thinking about “gourmet” baby dancing to help the sperm avoid my “female reproductive system elite assassins” and the “urban” “dark, twisted hell” of my cervix. The language is *hilarious*.

@nyckitten:  Hehe… I forgot about the funny language choices. I also haven’t realized what our would have like for a couple with male factor issues to watch. Eep! Sorry!

You GUYS!

I went to the naturopath yesterday, and two hundred dollars worth of supplements later, my period is starting! He gave me a ton of things to start regulating my hormones, and within about eight hours of taking the first dose, I started spotting. It *might* be a coincidence, but at CD71, I will take what I can get. The cycle from hell is ending!

@redsmarties:  Yay! I swear by my Naturopath!  They really deal with the natural management of hormones and I appreciate the whole person treatment approach that they have. My naturopath is also a midwife… really hoping I get to use her for that too! hooray for an end to this cycle of yours!

@Mrs. Jaguar:  Whew, glad I am not alone on that one.  My husband kinda thinks I am nutter than he first thought 🙂

@BrianneG:  Sounds like you have a great RE, that is fantastic.  Ugh, I completely feel you on the party, I would hope your friend would understand why you couldn’t be there.

@redsmarties:  YAY!  I am so glad you finally have some answers and this hellish cycle seems to be coming to an end for you!!!  And the jabs are getting easier each night, most likely because I am just getting used to them.  Noticed my first little bruise though 🙁

@BrianneG:  Wow, awesome RE appointment. Love that they gave you a book. As far as your feelings, I’m so sorry. I like to think I’m strong and if I was put in the positions you are of going to a baby cake party I would be there without question. But after the day I had the other day, I’m thinking this is starting to get a lot harder emotionally. It is your BFF, so please think it out. I’m sure she really wants you to be there, but on the other hand, if she is aware of what your going through, hopefully she will understand if you can’t make it.

@Mrs. Jaguar:  Still don’t have a positive OPK yet, but thank you for cheering them on with me : )  I’m giving up on the OPK’s tomorrow morning. This morning I got another stark white after two faint lines last nite, yesterday morning, and wed night. So if tomorrow morning is another stark white, I’m done. I can’t play this waiting game anymore. And I feel okay/good about it. Well maybe a happy/sad. Thanks for that term Jag.

@nyckitten:  OMG. I just LOL’d. We didn’t get to watch it yet, I’m hoping to tonite and after ready that I can’t wait! LOL. It’s funny because as I was reading it all I could think about was DH last nite was playing a game on his phone that he had to navigate the sperm to the egg. You had to go around obsitcals and watch out for these flying things that I referred to as “monsters.” I said, “OH maybe that’s our problem, your sperm can’t get around all those floating monsters!” It was too funny. – Now I know I should call them “elite assasins.” – Also, super sorry about DH SA results. I’m not too family with SA issue, is there anything he can do to improve?

@redsmarties:  Whoo hoo.  Finally an end to another BS cycle.

Charting questions for you guys: I’m working a straight day shift temporarily, so I figured I’d try temping.  It is SWELTERING in our house right now, and my temp was 1.5 degrees higher yesterday than today.  Would you toss yesterday’s temp, or just leave it?  If it happens again closer will that confuse things do you think?

@SapphireSun:  See, I’ve always heard that external temperature doesn’t have much of an impact on BBT. I know personally, it rarely makes a difference. But, if there was a MAJOR difference in your house temp, then maybe that threw things off. I would keep it for now, and just see what your temps do. You can always discard it later.

@Yellow.Clover:  I don’t say it lightly at all. YAY FOR AF! Haha. I was just OVER this whole thing, so I’m very happy.

@Wispy:  Thank you! I really hope everything’s going well for you.

@gingersnap25:  So glad that the jabs are getting easier. Boo for bruises!

@Mrs. Pretzel:  I LOVE my naturopath. Unfortunately, he is most definitely not a midwife/fertility expert, so I’ll need to find someone else eventually, but for now I just feel like he’s listening. Plus. he’s got natural alternatives for Metformin and Clomid that will be so much better for me than the real drugs! (I hope).
