@Mrs. Jaguar: I hope your cramps are not as bad and you are feeling better today. FX that you get to speak with your RE clinic and get the go ahead for round 2.
I don’t have an issue with the pictures on your blog either 😉 Just keep the brownies coming 😉
I’m sorry about the announcement. I didn’t have to deal with one for a very long time. But I just know it is only a matter of time until one after the other will come to the surface. Not looking forward to that at all.
Thinking of you!
Two cycles equals 4 months. Argh! This makes me realize how lucky I am with my 28/29 day cycles. Are the seeds supposed to help regulate the length of your cycles? Sorry if I’m asking too much I’m just very interested to learn more about all the infertility foods out there. Especially the once that you can incorporate very easily. Chia seeds are for example one of them.
Nice to see you here! I wish you all the best for the reduction. I’m sure you will find much more in common with the other ladies once you hit the 2nd trimester.
My session’s are $89/hour. Due to the costs I’ve also gone from once a week to once a month. And after 5 months I don’t feel that much of a difference anymore if I’m going with or without treatments. In the beginning the changes were huge.
Welcome! And thanks for sharing your story. I’m looking forward to get to know you but hope you don’t stay here too long. And I mean that in a very positive way, of course!
I got the call from my RE clinic. Here’s the deal. DH and I both have to do some more bloodwork (vaccination, Rubella?) and they want us to do that the cycle before we want to try IUI. So we’ll be doing the bloodwork middle of August then give them a call at the end of August to schedule for an injection teaching class (nervous!!!). If all goes well we would start the IUI cycle mid September. We might have to move everything one month back because my mum is thinking to come for a visit mid-end of September. But we should find out withing the next three/four weeks. Right now I’m actually kind of excited to have this plan set up but I’m sure I will get nervous and question our decision on and off again.

@JaneyD: I know how you feel about feeling wreid on the other side now. Good luck with your reduction. You have a lot of courage.
Interesting on The Ruebella immunity that a good percent of the population doesn’t show as immune. My RE made me and DH get tested for Rueballa and chicken pox immunity among other things before starting treatment, if we weren’t immune we would have needed the vaccine to proceed.

Day 4 – No one’s star shines brighter than yours!
Day 5 – Set backs are only temporary.
Day 6 – No matter what chapter your on, you are a success story.

@MRSLMA: Hi! How are you? I was so happy to see you jump in here too! I mean, not happy because of why you’re here, but happy to be newbees together in this group. You know what I’m saying

@elchalten: In theory, yes, the seeds are supposed to regulate my cycle. The first group of them are supposed to be estrogen boosters, and the second group of them progesterone boosters. BUT, the two cycles I’ve been on them have been my longest yet. I’m sitting at CD42 right now, and I’m pretty sure I haven’t ovulated yet. Ugh. Next month, I’m trying JUST chia seeds – we’ll see how that goes. They’re supposed to be a “miracle” seed LOL – we’ll see. AND – Hooray! for plans with your RE! Good for you for getting things rolling – September will be here before you know it!
Welcome! Sad that you have to be here, but excited to have new friends to talk to! I hope your stay is short and sweet!
I feel like such a rebel, sneaking on here from my work computer. Usually I just use my phone on my lunch break, or wait til I get home. But honestly…its a THOUSAND degrees, and I’m bored out of my tree.

Thanks for the kind words. I sucked it up and sent a note today. I sent it certified mail with return receipt requested, so at least I’ll know if someone signs for it.
AF is due tomorrow or Friday and I haven’t really had any signs that she’s on her way. I’m usually pretty emotional before my period starts, but I feel pretty normal right now. (I gave in a got a stark white BFN yesterday morning, so I’m pretty sure she’s on her way no matter how I feel.)
I’m totally swamped at work, which is good and bad. I feel stressed about getting it all done, especially since I have to take Friday off to take a licensing exam with a horrendously low pass rate. But I only get paid for hours I can bill to a client, so my paycheck improves when I’m busy. And it pretty much takes my mind off everything else.

@redsmarties: Other than having wonky cycles, do you have any side effects from the seeds? I think this kind of natural “remedy” is SO interesting!
@MRSLMA: Well, when I first started the estrogen ones, I had mega CM, which is great for me (I usually have none). And my cycles are ALWAYS wonky, so I don’t know if I should blame the seeds or not. But I can PM you the ones that I take, if you like – you can get them at the Bulk Barn/health food store.
I’m super slack with remembering to take my supplements after like, CD35 (because it just gets boring)…so maybe THAT’S my problem?

Well, a nurse FINALLY called me back late last night. Went through everything, assumed I started my period yesterday (it was actually Tuesday – they just never RETURNED MY PHONE CALL) & then proceeded to tell me that I needed to speak to someone else, tomorrow/today.
I freaked out, told her I just wanted to know if I was in or not – she went and looked up their system & said it looked like they had space for this month’s IVF patients, so not to panic.
So… with any luck, they’ll call today after work. I made sure to tell them I’m a school teacher, so they HAVE to ring from 3pm onwards, otherwise I can’t answer it. I really don’t want to have a conversation about periods and needles and babies in front of a class of 5&6 year olds!

@Mrs. Jaguar: oh I hope it all works out and you get a definite answer! I hate the wishy washy crap.
So here is the latest. I have to get blood drawn next week (it’s my 2nd home). Fingers Crossed ladies that it does a big nose dive to 0 (or close). My doctor has sent my records to a specialist (gynecology/oncology). This isn’t the “O” word anyone wants to hear. There is a possibility I have gestational trophoblastic disease. I guess it is a begnin tumor/growth that can occur when you first conceive. She doesn’t think it is that b/c my u/s doesn’t show any material in my uterus and my beta #’s are really low for someone who has it. I really really really really hope this isn’t what it is b/c I wouldn’t be allowed to conceive for 6-12 mths!!! (similar to what happens with molar pregnancies). So I guess I continue to be in limbo land.
I am so sorry that I haven’t really followed too much with what others have been going through. I feel very selfish in that regard. I am just emotionally, mentally, physically spent. I can’t wait to get to my old self and be more involved with everything. I am sending you all ((HUGS)), Sticky Baby Dust, and super best wishes!! Your support has been immeasurably important to me.

@Wispy: Oh hon – I am praying that it’s nothing of the sort & just a case of your system being on delayed reaction with the dramas it’s gone through.
You just keep looking after yourself & take all the time you need. Sending you good wishes and lots of hugs! x

@Mrs. Jaguar: FX that you get good news! And no more phone tag!
Oh lady, this has been such an ordeal. I have you in my prayers- hoping that you are able to determine that this isnt the issue similar to a molar. I can’t imagine how tired you must be:( You should plan something special for WHEN those numbers get back down to zero (hopefully soon!)
If you can PM me the name that’d be great! Thanks:)
