WOW, this thread is moving at warp speed πŸ™‚

To the new girls…welcome, hope your stays are short and sweet!  Like others have said, it is nice to see new people – I am not happy about the reasons you are here, but you know what I mean πŸ™‚

@BrianneG:  I am glad you have work to get you busy, you must be so very curious about your letter!  I applaud your courage and I hope it all works out the way you want it to!

@Wispy:  First, love the new name, has a good feel to it.  I completely understand the need for change.  I am so very sorry that you are having to go through further turmoil.  This is just so unfair and I am at a loss for words.  Just know we are all here for you and praying that you get answers, and good ones at that!  {{{HUGS}}}

@Mrs. Jaguar:  AWESOME NEWS – happy happy dance from the other side of the equator πŸ™‚  So very thrilled for you…

@bunny:  More great news…hoping a temp spike follows!!!  Maybe we won’t be injectables buddies after all πŸ™‚

@elchalten:  LOVE that you have a plan in place!  Take it from me, make sure they check for Rubella!!!  Although, I am not too sure how Canada handles vaccines.

View original reply
@Yellow.Clover:  Hope you get your results soon…I know waiting for them can be torture.

I am getting my genetic testing results tomorrow morning…I wasn’t nervous about them at all, but since I was slapped with the Rubella issue I am preparing for some other funky nonsense…cause that is my life!

I can not make this shit up.  So apparently the blood sample they took for the genetic testing, you know, the one I was getting the results for tomorrow, needs to be redrawn!!!  I am so ready to walk away from this entire process…

So apparently today is CD 1 of Lucky Cycle 13. This is my first medicated cycle and I’m supposed to take Clomid days 3-7 and estrogen days 8-12. My GYN said CD 1 is the first day with full flow but I usually jump to full flow pretty darn quicly. I’m sure it doesn’t matter that much if I start taking the pills on Sunday or Monday but of course I’m going to agonize over it anyway.

@Mrs. Jaguar: I feel you on the cramps. I just took a handful of ibuprofen. I’m really dreading the 8 hour exam I have tomorrow between my heavy flow and nasty cramps.

It’s been a while since I’ve been around this board.  We’ve had a rough 2012 in the TTC world- lots of raw emotions and a number of cycles taken “off”.

  • Cycle/Day:  Cycle 13 Day 2 (or 3- I lost count already)
  • History/Issues Me: low progesterone, hypothyroid, might not be Oing every month but have regular cycles.  Him: Morphology
  • Chart?:  Yep- we use NFP (sympto thermal) and just started charting with the Creighton Method
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle (besides a BFP, obv):  We are actually getting used to the new CM observations with Creighton so it means absolutely no BD at all for one cycle. Don’t want to umm… obscure anything.  We are using Creighton as part of a move to a NaProTechnology dr- so hopefully we can start getting answers.
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help: Creighton method/NaPro Dr. – The hubs and I both started taking fertilaid supplements.
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love); Thanks to Bunnyfor being my behind the scenes encourager
  • Next stepts if this months doesn’t work: Next month will be our first “back in the saddle” month after a short break so its on!
  • Have you tried the Jho PP yet:  Just found out what it is. We’ll see.
  • How do you stay sane in this IF insane world: I don’t- see references that we have taken multiple months off because the emotions got too much.

Trying to catch up once again! Day3 of my cycle and nothing interesting to report yet. Still debating whether to take up charting or continue on break.

@gingersnap25:  (Hugs) so sorry this is happening. I remember they took so much blood for my testing and I would go crazy if they had to redo! Hoping things take a turn for better soon.

@BrianneG:  Sorry about AF πŸ™  hope she doesn’t trouble too much for tomorrow’s exam. Good luck and FX this is your lucky cycle and everything turns out fine for you!!

@Wispy:  I have been following your post sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers.

@MRSLMA:  The candle light yoga sounds very interesting I would totally try it if they had it here! I did Times SQ solistice yoga yesterday in 98 deg temp and didn’t mind it (although the noise level was sometimes a bit too much being TS). Can you tell Im a yoga nut? πŸ™‚

@gingersnap25:  Sorry you have to give more blood, got to be super frustrating! ugh..

@Mrs. Pretzel:  Hopefully next cycle will be your lucky cycle!! : )

I’m super frustrated! I got my results and my progesterone came back at a 2.34 and I’m sure I know why. But all I get is an email from her saying, “Your measles and chickenpox immunities are up to date.” Really???? THIS is all I get! I hope I hear from her tomorrow. I’m begining to wonder if I should give up for the time being until I can get better insurance in October and start fresh…sigh.

@elchalten:  No nasal spray (THANK THE HEAVENS) – I specifically requested an alternative because that was probably the worst part of the IVF cycle last time. They’ll have me on a second injectible this time around. The needles didn’t phase me last time (surprisingly!) but I’m really pleased to try something different.

@bunny:  You are SO right. Evens are much better than odds. And I’ve NEVER been the kind of girl to get lucky on the first try for anything – so maybe this will be what we need. πŸ™‚

@Mrs. Pretzel:  Welcome back. Missed you around these parts, though I totally understand the need for a break. TTC emotions are ridiculous! I’m very interested in the Creighton method – I might have to go look it up. I know I’ve heard about it before – but it might be worth some research. What do you think so far?

@gingersnap25:  Oh my gosh, that is just RIDICULOUS. That would make me SO mad – I’m frustrated for you!

@silver1:  TS yoga sounds awesome! I am a total snob when it comes to sounds while doing yoga so not sure I’d fit in:) Candlelight is my favorite for non-workout type yoga. It’s way more meditation and deep breathing than actual working out:)

@bunny:  Good luck re: the positive OPK!

View original reply
@gingersnap25:  Ack, that is so frustrating. I’m sorry that the process is even more annoying for you right now.

So, today is day 55 of my cycle. I still don’t have my period, but I had my appointment with a RE. Going to this RE was an entirely positive experience! He confirmed that my cycles shouldn’t be this wacky, and that some type of help might be necessary because of my suspected PCOS. I also got a ton of blood work and genetic testing done today: 13 vials in all! The RE is recommending at this point (before test results are back) 100mg of Clomid for me and a sperm analysis for my husband.

The most interesting and exciting part of the exam happened during an ultrasound of my uterus and ovaries. Apparently, I have a nice, fat follicle that looks like it is just about ready to release an egg! The progesterone test should indicate more as to what’s specifically going on. Regardless, I broke out the OPKs again, and we are going to be taking advantage of this situation for the next few days. πŸ˜‰

I am so happy that things will be moving forward in the next 2.5 weeks (either because I O and get my period or I don’t and I get some medicine to kickstart it).

Hey ladies- i totally took last cycle off the boards! I was crazy busy at work with a huge “end of the year” project (at least end of my year) so now I am on summer break and able to focus on TTC.

  • Cycle/Day: Cycle day 29…. 1 day late and no BFP
  • History/Issues Me: PCOS  Him: Morphology
  • Chart?: Yup- but I stop during the TWW so I can try to relax
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle (besides a BFP, obv):  Last cycle was my first on Clomid- appointment with the RE tomorrow to dicuss next cycle…. (except no AF yet- and no BFP so…. i dunno) Also I have lost 32 lbs… still have some to go- but am starting to feel better abot myself
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help: I just need support this cycle… and I need to talk to my RE about next steps – I am starting to get pretty negative towards the whole TTC process
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love): Jag- her optimism always makes me feel better.
  • Next stepts if this months doesn’t work: Have a monthly standing appointment with the RE to discuss the next cycle- I am hoping we can push the IVf timeline up a bit
  • Have you tried the Jho PP yet:  Yup- unsuccessful
  • How do you stay sane in this IF insane world: I don’t… haha. Thank goodness my DH is amazing and takes good care of me!

@cheert16:  congrats on the weightloss – what have you been doing for such a great result?

I’m feeling much calmer today – we talked about it last night, and now I’m hoping to start planning a trip with hubby for the end of the year, so that each month we don’t get pregnant we can at least be pleased that we’ve got a trip ahead of us… now to work out how far the finances will stretch..!!

Wow! what a lot of catching up to do! First, I want to let all of you ladies know that I am touched by all of your stories and thinking of you all!!!! To the new ladies, welcome I look forward to getting to know you better, it is always nice to get some new perspectives.

@redsmarties:  After so many great posts about your blog, I really want to start following you!

@Mrs. Jaguar:  Hun, I don’t know what it is but I have REALLY REALLY strong feelings that this is your time, IVF round 2 is yours! there are so many people that are going to be cheering right along with you when you get that BFP!

@BrianneG:  I find your story about finding your biological father so exciting, I hope it turns out wonderful for you.

@Wispy:  Call me slow, the name change threw me off, it took me a bit to figure out who you were (at least I think I got it now!) My thoughts are with you, I can’t imagine what you are going through. I pray that it is slow dropping beta and nothing more serious

To all of you ladies that are on the weight loss train I applaud you!!!

I have nothing new really to report. I was off on a pity party! I am on CD 6 after a long (long for me) cycle of 34 days. I had never been late before TTC or starting AP, havoc seems to reek on this TTC process. We have been trying TTC since July 2011, and told to wait a year before testing/assistance would be given so  I attempted to contact my OB/GYN today and was met with the lovely message “Dr. ____ has left his practice, don’t leave a message because this office is closed”

I called an RE today and was told to go to any doctor and have them fax a referral. So seeing as it is difficult to find a doctor accepting a new patients (and I’m IMPATIENT) I am considering going to a walk in clinic with the RE name and fax number and requesting a doctor send a referral… or should I see if the GP at the walk-in clinic will do peliminary bloodwork/send DH for SA? (I had bloodwork in January, told me they would only contact me if results were of concern – no call) Ladies what should I do?

Sorry I sound wishy washy! Yikes sorry for the long post!

@hamikay:  I like little goals like that. We did it with the puppy (not feasible every cycle, unfortunately, haha) and it worked well – it was a few weeks after the IVF cycle that we’d pick up Spencer. I knew that if the IVF worked, we’d be getting our baby … and if it didn’t work, we’d be getting our fur baby. πŸ™‚

@lonsk:  I hope you’re right! I’m feeling really calm and excited. I think I’m more relaxed now that I know what I’m in for?

Let’s face it – we really only need GP’s for the referral to the RE – so I don’t think it matters who you see. Mr. Jag doesn’t have a doctor (doesn’t get sick) and when he needed one for our RE referral, he just went to a walk in centre, gave them the RE’s details, and bam. Done.
