@cheert16: I’ve been mostly taking a break from the boards, but I saw your post on the last thread and wanted to say “CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”  You definitely deserve it after 19 cycles of TTC. πŸ™‚ That’ must have been unbelievable to see “pregnant” after such a long time.  I’m so happy for you!  Happy and healthy 9 months!

Love and prayers for all of my TTC ladies! xoxoxo

@panterapeach: Your words and story always give me hope.  (Congratulations on your LO!!)  We were a handful of cycles into TTC when you posted the story of your miracle BFP.  I remember reading and re-reading that post and I’ve gone back a few times, because it’s so encouraging.  I believe in miracles too!

So where abouts is everyone up to with their cycles?

I’m on day 3 of jabbing and just waiting around, seeing what this cycle might bring. Nothing too exciting yet.. blood draws and ultrasounds start Wed/Friday next week.

I’m also avoiding a big family reunion type gathering, on the grounds of our IVF cycle. I have issues with a lot of my relatives (I have a handful of uncles who lied to us about not attending our wedding, didn’t send a gift, and ended up having a boys weekend all together on the same night – which we busted them for afterwards.)

Sorry, but I can’t think of anything worse than spending a day with a bunch of family members I can’t stand, with my ridiculously fertile cousins and their perfect children, with the stares at my belly, with the questions. NO. Just no. It’s also scheduled for July 29 (and my retrieval will be a few days after that) and I am NOT going to do it. My mum is really pissed at me, but I’m standing firm. *sigh*

@Mrs. Jaguar:  CD1 πŸ™ perfect charting, perfect timing, coming to terms with the idea that something must be wrong. U/S came back fairly clear, nothing the doc was worried about, and thyroid test was fine too. So hubby’s turn to be tested. So sad. Well, kinda numb, after a cry when i started spotting thursday.

Your decision about avoiding the family reunion is completely understandable, to me!

@hamikay:  Oh love, I’m sorry. I wish I could say it got easier. It never gets easier. Sending you lots of love tonight. x It was really hard for hubby to get his SA done, because he was so scared that he’d be ‘not right’. When they came back with concerns, he was really devastated. It was the first time he really understood how I felt, and he said it was a real eye-opener. Praying you guys have a better result. x

CD5 Just about finished my acupuncture treatments, need to go for a meridian test to see how my body responded. I think its a waste of time and money, I know how my body responded – I DIDN’T GET KNOCKED UP!. I phoned to check where I was on the list for getting an appointment with an RE I was referred to June 22 but have yet to get an answer

@Mrs. Jaguar:  I totally agree with your stance on not going to the reunion, there comes a time when you need to cut the drama out of your life and if family couldn’t bring themselves to attend your wedding then screw em! why should you pretend to enjoy yourself. Take that day to treat yourself (maybe the spa) and spend a lovely day with your hubby. Sorry your Mom is upset, hope she sees your side of things soon

@Yellow.Clover:  Ahh hun, I’ve had trouble reigning in my Darling Husband too. We are not on any fertility drugs yet, but he keeps telling people we are TTC. I know he thinks it is no big deal but I don’t need (okay, want) everyone knowing we are trying (and failing). I get that he needs to talk to someone, I’d prefer he kept it to his best friend however he frequently comes home from work and tells me things like so-and-so took a year to get pregnant and someone else adopted, then I instantly know he’s been “sharing” Yell

On a positive side, at least they are excited! (I just worry if he keeps telling everyone we are TTC then it will be harder to keep quiet during the 1st trimester if we conceive. I may not be able to tell HIM until its over! haha!)

@lonsk:  I’m sorry to hear that AP hasn’t helped. I’m still on the fence.

@Yellow.Clover:  I don’t usually put my foot down so stubbornly, but I’m just not interested in pretending to be fine. πŸ™‚ Oh, hon. I would’ve kicked my hubby – but he’s a quiet one, doesn’t share much with people. It’s really sweet that he’s so excited by the process though, so that’s something! Hopefully he can understand that it puts you in a really awkward situation.

@lonsk:  So true – at least they’re looking forward to being dads! πŸ™‚

Well ladies, I wanted AF to show up so badly. Now that she’s here, I’m getting my a$$ kicked. These cramps are brutal, worse than theyve ever been! I guess that’s whT happens after 70-some days.

@Yellow.Clover:  so sorry about everything- what a brutal situation to deal with while you’re already feeling not great about your surroundings. I’m glad your hubby’s supportive though!!

@redsmarties:  I’m glad she’s here, but I’m sorry you’re suffering. Mine was quite bad these past few days too, I’m not sure why. I think any ‘medicated’ inducing of AF makes her a bit nasty. πŸ™
