@ChuckNorris:  Thanks for the hugs…I needed them yesterday.  I’m doing better today.  I totally feel the same way about seeing people with kids who probably should not have had kids.  I always think – they can get pregnant but I can’t? WTF???

I am currently on Femara for the first time and had a similar question about when I would O.  It sounds like you and I are almost on the same schedule but with slighly different drugs.

@nyckitten:  sorry to hear that the sonohysterogram was painful for you.  I am having one on Tuesday and dreading it.  I didn’t have any problems wtih the HSG but I am leery about tests where they ahve to put things in me.  Good luck with your REI, hopefully the septum issue isn’t too big of an issue.

@funnybunny:  Good luck with your SHG!  I hope my post didn’t scare you.  I think the only reason mine was painful is that my cervix is sharply curved, making it hard to get the catheter in, and she had to inject extra water to make sure of what she was seeing since it seemed abnormal.  Take some Motrin beforehand though!

@Yellow.Clover:  I see I see!!! That’s awesome, I am crossing my fingers for a speedy sale!! I’m have moving on my braaaain. Like seriously! I am really wanting to get out of this town. I mean, I like it and it’s beautiful up here.. But there’s a lot of crime. Thanks for answering my question! I hope it’s before then or around then, my husband goes back to work on CD15, so I want to know I probably O’ed before then. I’m also anxious to start Progesterone… I’m scared I will start it too late.

@STB Ms.Win:  Well, I’m crossing my fingers for some clear cut, super fixable answers with your bloodwork or that it’s normal!!! I am so glad you have a lot of optimism. It kind of renews your sense of happiness about TTC, meeting with a doctor and making a plan, huh?!?!

@nyckitten:  I’m sorry that your SHG was painful… I’ve not heard of septum issues except for I think Dodgergirl (I forgot her username!) has something like that. Did you end up deciding what to do?

View original reply
@funnybunny:  Does Femara give you hot flashes? I’ve been having cuh-rraaaazzzyyyy hot flashes lol. I’m glad to have someone to talk about this new fertility medication world!!!! =)

@nyckitten:  i’m glad you survived the SHG! sorry it was so painful ๐Ÿ™ yuck. those kinds of tests are no fun at all. anyway, I’m sorry to hear about the possible septum. keep us posted on what you decide to do!

@ChuckNorris:  oh that story about the little girl breaks my heart. how are your Clomid symptoms going?

@cafegirl:  hope you enjoyed your wine! ๐Ÿ™‚ shark week stinks.

afm. . .(this part cross-posted). . had a quiet weekend. husband was hiking with some guys so I was on my own. just hanging out in the early part of the 2ww. had lunch with a friend who has been trying for what I consider a loong time (almost 3 years) and her attitude is just so awesome, it really helped me put things in perspective by seeing how non-complaining and how not-jealous she is . i mean, don’t get me wrong she wants a baby! but i guess she’s just reached this place of quiet resignation and considering adoption, whereas I am in more of the  still very eager/hopeful, but also very impatient phase.

around Fri of this past week I was just getting almost bitter about the whole process (as you can see from my frustrated posts on the ‘do you believe it will happen when you relax?’ thread, haha). so it was really good to talk to her and get snapped out of my selfish perspective.

if no good news on Nov 6, then I’m scheduled for lap surgery on Nov 15th to check out my tubes and also check for any endometriosis. bought some comfy outfits this weekend to wear post-op and started to get really sad and question myself, maybe I should put off the surgery? it just seems so sad and scary to have to be operated on just to help diagnose issues with what should be such a ‘normal’ process. . .having a baby. so anyway, that was my pity party.

fingers crossed for everyone!

@ChuckNorris:  I have been having some hot flashes, but they haven’t been too bad.  So far only two side effects that I’ve had are that I have been extremely emotional (I cried at work on Thursday and I DON’T do that!) and I have been having some joint stiffness/pain.  It hasn’t really been that bad and I’ve gotten some amazing back rubs from DH!  Have you gotten any side effects from Clomid?

@hellorebecca:  so glad you had such a nice weekend!  Having someone to talk to in real life helps to get through this.

Has anyone here been on femara?  If so, did you notice that you O’d earlier than usual?  I am currently on CD 8 and am feeling some O pains which is kind of strange.  I usually get a positive OPK around day 12, the earliest I have ever gotten one is CD 10.  I’m just feeling something going on down there and am getting worried that I am going to O early and miss time everything this month.  I usually start taking OPKs on CD 9.  I might test tonight when I get home since I didn’t bring one with me to work.  I am scheduled for a saline sonogram tomorrow and then will get an IUI the day after my positive OPK.

So frustrated with my body! CD 37 today…I’m pretty regular almost always between 28-32 days. I’ve had cramps for the last 12 days, nothing painful just an annoying nuisance. I’ve tested twice BFN both times. Not sure what’s going on. I usually will have spotting the day I start my period, but no sign yet. Very confused! This was our 10th cycle and I didn’t use OPK’s out of frustration this time.

@hellorebecca:  That’s great about your friend.  Well, not great that she’s been TTC for 3 years, but great that she could offer you perspective.  I know I always feel so much better when I put things put into perspective, but it’s so easy to spiral out of that.  By the way, I really appreciated a couple of comments you made last week on a couple of different threads…:-)

@Mickey9998:  How frustrating!  Any updates today?

I’m on CD 8 today which is when I normally start gearing up for O. (usually O around CD 13ish)  I’m not quite ready to deal with another month of this, but here we go!

@nyckitten: I’m sorry that the SHG was painful for you. Hope you get to talk to your REI soon about the possible septum

@funnybunny: I hope you SHG went/is going well today. Hope you were able to use an OPK when you got home last night.

@ChuckNorris: Thanks! I am hoping it is something that is a “quick” fix. I have a huge pit in my stomach when I think about it but I try and let DH’s positivity rub off on me. He thinks I am worrying too much and that it will happen for us when it is our time. Sorry about the hot flashes… no fun!

@hellorebecca:  It must be nice to have someone who understands what you are going through that you can talk to IRL and she seems to have a really great attitude about it.

@Mickey9998:  Hope you get some answers soon. Everytime I think about not charting I remind myself that not knowing is worse than knowing for me.

@cafegirl: I hope that this cycle is going well so far, I am usually much calmer after I confirm O

AFM: I am pretty sure that Cycle 10 was a bust, my temp dropped today to just above the cover line at 14DPO (CD27) which is my usual LP. The clinic called and I am scheduled for my consult appointment on Nov 5. I will be having a pelvic ultrasound, bloodwork for me and DH and a SA for DH plus go over our family history and medical history. I am feeling good about getting some answers or at least feeling like we are trying something to figure out what isn’t working.

@STB Ms.Win:  It’s good you have a plan and I hope you get some answers.  I’m starting to think it’s time to push for further testing as well, but it may need to wait until after the holidays.

I don’t know why I said today is CD 8 for me.  Today is actually CD 7.  Getting ahead of myself here…

@Mickey9998:  oh that stinks ๐Ÿ™ i know a lot of ppl have irregular cycles all the time, but when you are usually regular I think it’s more disconcerting. Hopefully it was just a late ovulation! who knows, maybe you are still in for the month.

@STB Ms.Win:  So sorry about cycle 10.  It’s good that you have an appointment and will start to get answers.  As much as all of these tests suck, it’s good to know.

The saline sonogram is over!!!  Thankfully!!!!  That was the worst test yet!!! The HSG was easy compared to this.  It’s now almost a day later and I am still cramping.  The good news is that everything was normal and I never have to do this again.  Now I am waiting to get a positive on the OPK so that we can do the IUI.

Ok ladies I am here to vent…..I was expecting to get my AF on Tuesday (13-14 day LP) and she still has not shown, my temps are still above the coverline, although lower than they were earlier in my LP. I don’t test until I am late and I thought for sure she would have shown yesterday…. I tested this morning and got a stark white negative on a dollar store HPT. Frown

What is happening? My chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/39892f

@hellorebecca:  I just wanted to thank you for putting ME into perspective a few days ago. I have only been actively trying for a short time, so I don’t know why I was so impossible.

I hope you find great news Nov 9th!

@Yellow.Clover: Thanks for understanding…I am soooooo confused. I’m at work right now and not getting much done because I am obsessing over the negative this morning. I go back and forth between being really angry and wanting to cry. Cry I wish it was Friday.

I’m going to try to hold off testing again until Saturday….
