@Mickey9998:  Welcome, hope you stay is short, but sweet!

@ChuckNorris:  Wow, your doctor sounds absolutely amazing.  I am so thrilled you are getting some answers and have a plan of action.

@Wispy:  I know you are frustrated and you just want to know where this jouney will lead you, I have little to no patience myself so I completly understand.  I also understand your views on IVF…  I wish I could tell yu what to do, but I can’t, all I can do is tell you to just take it day by day, don’t get too ahead of yourself.  It will all fall into place.  Remember you have the wonderful advantage of knowing you CAN get pregnant.  I understand your age concerns, I battle that every day myself.  I have two friends that are 41 and are in their last months of pregnancy and my best friend had a baby at 39…I know everyone is different and it really is not in our control, but maybe hearing about those girls will give you some hope and inspiration.  Stay strong…you will get there!  I just know it.

@hamikay:  You too have what sounds like an awesome doctor.  I really love hearing all the positivity you are receiving from your naturopath…  I am so thrilled you are finally getting some answers!!!

@ChuckNorris:  With the HSG my insurance pays only 20%. I’m probably going to fight for the larpo. I talked to my doctor years ago, way before TTC, about endo and they did and u/s but she told me the only way to confirm was by lapro. So, I would hope, I can fight for it to be covered and not classified as fertility, but we shall see. If not, I’m sure I’ll be going the HSG route first then.

@Wispy:  I’m still crossing my fingers that you won’t need those referrals! Have you talked to your hubby? What are his thoughts? I can relate to your thoughts about IVF. I had to go to the fertility clinic this morning that we will be going to IF we don’t get pregnant by January, and just arriving in the parking lot, my eyes filled with tears. It got even worse just opening the door and seeing a few ladies in the waiting room. I just don’t know how I will do it.

@hamikay:  WOW, your honeymoon spot looks amazing! Just beautiful.  Fingers crossed for you that you do O this weekend. I love how you put DH on the sexing schedule. I bet he does love it. Glad you enjoyed your appointment. Sounds like it was amazing! What is she doing to improve your blood flow? I’ve been doing a lot of research this week on endometriosis and one thing it talks about is increasing blood flow to the lady areas.

@MrsFarmer:  How did the discussion go with DH? I would make sure you guys do what your heart tells you.

@Mickey9998:  Welcome. Congrats on the house! Super excited. Hope your stay here is short and sweet : )

Well, we went this morning for hubby’s SA. I’m SO NERVOUS! I know I need to stay away from the “what if’s,” but, What if?! Ahhh…Okay, calming nerves now. I’m CD 11 – probably won’t O until CD 19-21. I’m thinking about taking mucinex this cycle to increase CM. I read you should start taking it five days prior to O. But, my question now is, if we already use pre~seed, do you ladies think it’s neccessary to take the Mucinex also? Oh, and one more, I was thinking about taking the baby asprin also, I read it helps blood flow to the lady parts, does anyone know when that should be taken? One place I read you take it after O and another I read you take it CD1-O?

@hamikay:  You and your book recommendations =) You are the bomb!! I have not read a single TTC book yet. Is that pathetic?! I know. I’m crazy. I need to read like all of those ASAP!! But I just finished 50 Shades, re-reading the Hobbit, and need to finish Hunger Games. Hahahaha. I think after the Hobbit I will switch gears and start really reading TTC books. You said Making Babies, and the Impatient Woman’s Guide To Getting Pregnant, and there was another one, right? Plus I still have to read TCOYF! Which one should I start with? I’m so glad your naturopath is awesome. I so hope she gets you and hubby all figured out! That’s amazing!! I’m sooo happy for you. It feels good to feel good about your plan, right? It’s AWESOME!!! Have you heard of femoral and uterine massage? I’ve researched it a tiny bit, but if she is worried about your blood flow, maybe that’s something that could help too? I can never find my damn femoral artery though. I have tried a million times.

@Yellow.Clover:  That makes sense. Yeah I would think the lapro should be covered if they code it as “menorrhagia” or whatever symptoms you are having! It just ALSO affects fertility. I take baby aspirin CD1-O, because I’ve seen studies indicating that aspirin increases risk for M/C. I found a really good site in researching it with all these ways to increase blood flow, including the femoral and urterine massage. Touch and massage really do increase blood flow to those areas! I’ve tried the femoral one without any success though. Haha. Also, I’ve read mixed things about the Mucinex… Have you tried FertilCM or Royal Jelly? RJ makes my vagina a waterfall of CM (though some people swear it doesn’t make a difference!). Hahahaha. How’s that for a visual? But I would think you would only need to do that if you wanted to stop using Preseed altogether. Good luck with hubby’s SA!!!

@hamikay:  So glad the naturopath was such a fit! DH and I swear by naturopathy now and we really think it was a big part of us getting our BFP (along with acupuncture and NaPro)

@Yellow.Clover:  My opinion about CM- Your CM will always be best- if you can boost your own and use less preseed I think that is best. I used Pure Guaifenesin (ingredient in musinex) (1200mg) from CD1-O.  I also did B6 (500mg) and Royal Jelly to increase my CM. We only used the PreSeed (internally) when my CM was lacking. Regarding asprin, my naturopath said not to bother. FWIW  Good luck with hubby’s SA- try not to worry about it too much.  regardless of what the results are, you will know more about your situation than you know now.

@pretzel:  Thanks for the info ladies! I think I might go pick up some Mucinex tonight and give it a try. I googled the Royal Jelly and, I don’t know, I get wierded out about taking things (bad anxiety). I’d be on the floor thinking I was having an allergic reaction to it or something..goodness. I will be googling the femoral and urterine massage tonight and give it a try.

@Yellow.Clover:  Let me know how you like the Mucinex! I forgot to add that I was weary of RJ as well, because I am deathly allergic to bees (epi pen and all!) and have no reactions thus far =)

@Yellow.Clover:  ((Hugs)). I understand. I am just not ready to break away from the doctor’s office i’ve been going to. It is just one more emotional aspect (sounds silly but I’m used to them).

Ladies I think AF will be here tomorrow. I had a progesterone draw today.  And I want to talk to my doctor about 1 more round of clomid and I’m planning to take some different supplements to increase CM.

Busy day today.. I hope to be back on tomorrow.

@Yellow.Clover:  she has me on some crazy herbal medicine thing that she mixed up in front of me to increase bloodflow (it’s freaking disgusting, but she DID warn me that it would take a while to get used to) – she didn’t say the word, but she described endo to suit my symptoms – as well as telling me to cut out ‘cold’ foods (like my yoghurt for lunch) and to have lots of warm foods instead. How do doctors treat endo?? i think i remember reading that there is no real cure (don’t they just suggest you go back on the pill??), so i’m willing to stick with my crazy herbs for a bit ๐Ÿ™‚

oh, and i’ve been taking baby asprin for the last month, self-prescribed after reading about it in “Making Babies”, but replaced it this morning with the herbs. forgot to mention it to my naturopath, but have been a little bit worried about the side-effects.

@ChuckNorris:  haha, i know, i’m an English teacher, remember, so I love my books ๐Ÿ™‚ and a bit of a research nerd. I just browse through TCOYF and Making Babies depending on what I need to know at the time, but read Impatient Women’s Guide cover-to-cover in one night. Get them all!! I just wanted something that I knew was well-researched and I could put some faith in – so much conflicting info on the interwebz…

Oh, i haven’t watched it yet, sounds like i shouldn’t!! i think hubby downloaded it for me, but maybe he’s been too scared to tell me it’s there ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry to hear about your spotting – could it be related to your procedure yesterday???

@ChuckNorris:  Big hugs! Sorry for the spotting, but it’s still early, don’t count yourself out yet. And I think Hamikay is right, I’m sure it has to be related to your procedure. And I haven’t seen the movie yet, but wanted to. Now I’m starting to rethink the movie, but of course DH has been talking about renting it on Redbox. What do I do…

@hamikay:  No, there is no cure for endo. My doctor told me, “you just need to get pregnant.” Ummm…Hello, I’ve been trying! It’s NOT working! *Shaking my head* I know the only way to confirm is by lapro surgery and while they are in there they can try to remove some of it. Your doctor sounds great. I wish I could afford one..I would take a thousand yucky things right now if I knew it would get me pregnant. But, I need to take baby steps. I’m just waiting for this cycle to end so that I can email my doctor and say, okay, it didn’t work! I’m now demanding this (lapro). So we’ll see. Good luck to you and I’ve got everything crossed for you. I hope the herbal medicine starts tasting better!

AFM, nothing much going on my way, just hanging out waiting for O. My dad has a heart catheterization tomorrow, so I’m pretty nervous about that and it’s been keeping my mind of TTC a bit. If all goes well, I’ll be back to work in the afternoon to check in on you guys. If not I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

@hamikay:  Wow–your honeymoon must’ve been amazing!  I’m going to be tempted to browse that website all day and daydream.  Congrats on finding an awesome natropath!  I’d love to find one here.  Maybe I should start researching that.  I did go to a new OB-GYN last month and I liked her, but when I told her I’d been trying to get pregnant, she said to come back in January and we could look into clomid.  I don’t want that to be the first thing I do as I’d rather try some natural options first.  Also–I knew you were a teacher, but did I know you are in English teacher?  Do you teach high school? I think maybe you mentioned that before.  But I was an English major and used to dream about being an English teacher.  I like you more all the time!

@Yellow.Clover:  I loved chucknorris’ description of royal jelly giving her a “waterfall of cm.”  Haha!  I have to say, it seems to do the same thing to me.  I started taking it a few months ago and, even when I skipped a month of taking it, I still had a lot more CM.

@ChuckNorris:  I love that you know so much about supplements, etc… I know who to go to when I have questions!   Also, I refuse to watch that movie until I’m pregnant.  I just can’t handle it.

@Mickey9998:  Welcome!  This is such a great group.  It sounds like you and I are in a similar place in our journey.  I’m on month 9, but did kinda take the summer off.

As for me, my cold got worse and my husband made me take a sick day yesterday.  I’m thankful because I would’ve gone to work or at least worked from home, but he made me rest and spoiled me with trashy magazines and food.  I got lots of rest and feel better today even though I’m not 100%.

I recently mentioned having a friend who is also TTC and how I breathe a sigh of relief every month she’s not pregnant?  Well, she called me Monday and said she was 3 days late.  I told her to get a test.  She called me Tuesday night after getting the test and said it was positive.  I am so happy for her, but sad for me.  She’s my one friend in real life who was going through the same thing and now I feel really alone.  I felt bad because I cried on the phone after congratulating her which is the same thing I did with another good friend recently.  I hate feeling like I’m putting them in a position where they feel like they need to apologize for something so great and really hope I don’t come across as trying to make them feel bad.  It’s just a reaction I can’t help because it’s such a sensitive topic for me right now.  But I hope my positive words outweighed the sadness.  She said she probably would’ve reacted the same way had it been me that got KU.  It seems like every time I get to a positive, “go with the flow”  place, someone else gets pregnant and then I have to wrestle with these feelings again.

Sorry for the ramble!  I am SO thankful for all of you ladies!  You are so smart, funny, and kind and I just love sharing this time with all of you.  I can’t imagine not having you here and sincerely hope we can all move on to the next phase very, very soon.  Hugs to all of you!
