I am a new girl!! I’ve been on WeddingBee for a few years now, planning my wedding and a while back I was on for TTC. I haven’t been here for a couple of months, though. We are on month 6 TTC.

  • Cycle/Day: Cycle 6/cd11
  • Chart: I do most months!
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle: I am of course hoping for a BFP. I’m going to the doctor June 20th (in my TWW) so I am hoping he can help me out a bit. I know I’ve only been TTC for 6 months but I know of three possible problems already: I have almost NO cervical mucus, I have a very low bbt (96.6-96.9 pre-ovulation and 97.0-97.7 post-ovulation) and a shorter than average luteal phase – 11 days. Maybe he will do a few tests based on that knowledge.
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help: I am wanting a bfp so of course…I’m working on it! Babydancing every other day, using pre-seed, drinking TONS of water, eating healthier, grapefruit juice/epo and I also used soy isoflavones this cycle. And temping/opk’s…WHEW!!! I would like support and buddies most of all<3
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love):  Everyone! I don’t know everyone yet but hope to.
  • Favorite thing about your partner:  He’s funny and sweet. Plus, he helps with housework ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • Vacation you’d take if you had to leave tomorrow for two weeks ($ is no object): I would probably go to London for a week and spend the other week in the Bahamas!!

@futuremrsmartin11:  Welcome! Hope your stay with us will be short and sweet. Thanks for your introduction.

Ladies, I’m so embarrased. I went to visit my friend last night. She got diagnosed with cancer in February and is currently undergoing Chemo. She knows about our struggles and when she asked me about how we are doing and what the doctors are saying I completely lost it. Tears full speed. She had to hug me and comfort me and I felt so embarrassed. She has such a more difficult path to go and I break down right there in front of her. Any great advice how to appologize to her? I feel so stupid.

@elchalten:  Thanks!  It’s nice to sleep in my own bed again. I could do without having to go to work though for a while longer.

Granted, i don’t know your friend but just as another perspective there may be no need to apologize. One of my older lady coworkers that I am close with is fighting cancer and she always says she WANTS to hear about other peoples lives. 1)she’s bored, 2) she hates feeling like people need to insulate her from real life and the cautious pity that people feel like she has it the worst.  I doubt she’s upset with you or feels like your emotions to your own situation minimize hers at all.  My friend always says she feels most lonely when people don’t allow her those real interactions. Now, would I make her my go to sounding board, probably not. But I bet you she minds less than you think.

@elchalten:  I think SapphireSun is right…Even though it IS greatly embarassing (remember my incident at church? Yeah. Embarassed)  I’m sure this lady was happy to be your comfort.  It would probably be a refreshing difference to be on the comforting end rather than being comforted.  For me personally, it would make me feel more valued.

Also, if she’s asking you, that’s because she wanted to know and she’s aware that this is something hard you are going through.  It’s kind of an awkward situation to be in though, so I feel your discomfort.  (((Hugs)))

@futuremrsmartin11:  Welcome! You’ll definitely find support and buddies here! We’re a fun group.

Home sick today. Not really sick so much as I am completely exhausted. Can’t even keep my eyes open. Normally I would jump on this as a fantastic symptom, but I have no clue where I am in my cycle (CD34) and I’m nearly positive I haven’t O’d yet. Ugh.

@futuremrsmartin11:  Welcome to our group.  Hope your stay is short:)  I’ll preface this w/, I’m not a RE, but it sounds like you may have low estrogen levels.  Since most RE will do a 3 day test, you should have answers and be able to get KU.

@elchalten: I agree w/ the other Ladies.  As women we tend to naturally comfort those in need regardless of our situation.  I personally find it to be helpful to focus on another instead of being overwhelmed by my own situation.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a nice weekend.  Nothing going on here…used my last OPKs and they were ALL without smileys faces so I have no idea what my body is doing this month.  I should have listened to my gut and stayed away from them this month, but truth be told, seeing the smiley face made me smiley – at least I knew something was going right.  Part of me is relieved they are all gone though, don’t have to worry about drinking or peeing after 2pm…LOL.

@squeak35:  How are the injections going?  I am closely following you since I will be in the same boat in a few weeks!!!

@elchalten:  I agree with both Sapphire and Mrs.Farmer, sometimes people like the diversion from their own issues.  This may not be the case for your friend, but I do know that I do have a friend who is going through a really, really tough situation right now and she wanted to know what was going on with me.  This is just my two cents, but I think people want to be able to comfort one another and those especially dealing with something as awful as cancer very rarely have that opportunity because they are always the ones being comforted…  I know it was an uncomfortable situation for you, but I am not sure you do need to apologize to her, but if you want to, do it.  Tell her what you told us…  {{{HUGS}}}

@SapphireSun:  Glad you enjoyed your trip to NYC…isn’t it just the greatest ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, and thanks Jag, for the update on MissMaine.  I was thinking about her just the other day.  I am glad she is well…and like you said, I would like to see her again, but not here ๐Ÿ™‚
