@redsmarties:  Sorry, you’re home sick.  Its the worse being sick during TTC and not knowing if you’re really sick or its a symptom of a possible BFP.  Today, the vent over my desk is blowing chilly air.  I really don’t want a summer cold before my first IUI:(

@gingersnap25:  I was in the same boat as you this month, no smileys and I missed those little faces they were comforting. Not sure what is up with my body this month either – really sucks!

Today is CD30, don’t think I O’d this month. Last cycle was 28 days and the one before was 33

@redsmarties:  I’m sorry you’re feeling under the weather.  ๐Ÿ™

Me too.  My throat is so sore that I can barely swallow and I’ve got a massive headache.  Can’t wait to go home!

@lonsk:  Seriously, it totally sucks.  I have been lucky in that I usually only use 4 OPKs each month (only had 4 left this time), but I think I may have started testing earlier for some reason, probably because I am foucsing on next month or am just over this whole process.  Perhaps a little of both…  My cycles are usually about 24 days, but I have had the odd 32 day one and that sucks because I won’t test before missing my period so that means I could potentially wait an entire week to test because of that rogue long cycle.  I completely feel your pain…  let’s hope we just both missed our surge ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh ladies I am feeling such despair today. (I apologize ahead of time for my whinng and venting).  This has been the rollercoaster ride from hell.  For 5 weeks I have been dealing with my MC that ended up being an ectopic pregnancy (I don’t even know how to refer to it? ectopic pregnancy that ended in mc? or MC that ended as ectopic?. I don’t even know).  Anyways I had my methotrexate shot almost 2 weeks ago.  Since then my beta has dropped significantly.  The DR thinks that next week may be my last round of bloodwork, they think I will be under 5! THat is the good news b/c I’m starting to look like a pin cushion (I am thankful for good veins though). I’m on a first name basis with the receptionists at the blood lab and DRs office.. I should probably add them to my Xmas Card list.

So even though my beta is down I feel despair.  After the metho shot you have to stop prenatal (no folic acid) and eliminate foods with folic acid b/c it will go against the work of the shot.  So as a result I’m exhausted (I’ve had some anemia in the past and I think this has exacerbated this).  I’m emotionally exhausted and frustrated as well as physically.  The DR said it could be up to 6-9 weeks before I get my normal AF cycle.  And even if it doesn’t take that long they recommend not getting pg right away after the metho shot (b/c you have depleted folic acid which can cause birth defects..and metho is a chemo drug that stops cell division).  So they eternal optimist that I am NOT is looking ahead thinking it could take another 3 months before we get a BFP and I’m already getting further away from 35 and closer to 40.  This scares me.  It upsets me. It frustrates me.  (I know there are worse things in the world. and I know others have struggled for a long time).  August will be 1 year of TTC.  I thought we would be well on our way to a baby by now.

Sorry this is so long. sigh…………………… (that’s my pity party for the day).

@Wispy:  {{{HUGS}}}  I can’t even imagine the roller coaster of emotions you have been experiencing over the past few weeks.  You are really strong, I hope you know that.  I am 41 so I understand the feeling of “wasting time”…for me, it is the worst part of this entire process.  I wish I had some magical words for you, but I don’t.    Try to take it day by day and focus on the positive instead of the negative, like the fact that you CAN get pregnant and WILL get pregnant again.  Just know that you need time to heal physically and emotionally and that we are all here to support you whenever you need it!!!

@Wispy:  Ugh what a terrible thing to go through. I think you’re totally entitled to a pity party for a few minutes.

@everybody else who’s sick: everybody sounds so unhealthy!  What is going on here!?  Hope you allGreek better soon ๐Ÿ™‚

@elchalten:  *hugs* As a friend, I don’t think you need to apologise. You’re there for her & it sounds like she’s there for you too.

@Mrs. Jaguar:  Congratulations on your anniversary.

I picked up my prescription for Clomid and estrogen yesterday. I’m on CD20 and I’m 4 or 5 DPO, so if we’re not KU this month then I’ll start on CD3 of next cycle. (Lucky number 13?) He prescribed me to take the Clomid Days 3-7 and the estrogen for the next 5 days after that. I didn’t check the dosage but I’ll look when I get home tonight. He also gave me three refills.

Does anyone actually get pregnant when taking Clomid? I feel like I’m just treading water and trying every option until I get to the extremely expensive options.

@gingersnap25:  Thank you.  It is tough when you feel like your “good” days are slipping away. We can do this though!!!

@BrianneG:  Thank you.  I don’t know if this will make you feel good or not. But April was my first time on clomid (cd3-7).  I was monitored with bloodwork and u/s.  I had 2 great follices (seen on u/s 2 days before ovulation).  I got my BFP.  Unfortunately I have  low progesterone (which I will take meds for after I ovualte the next cycle we ttc).  Anyways my first time on clomid did result in my BFP but it ended with an ectopic pregnancy/miscarriage.  With that said, I will be going back on clomid the next chance I get.  (there are women on this site who have had successful pregnancies with clomid so it definitely is a good option).  I will you best of luck!!!!!

@BrianneG:  I know a few ladies who’ve gotten pregnant from Clomid helping things along. Good luck!

@gingersnap25:  Here’s hoping. I keep thinking this is a long cycle so no sense wasting a test but would so love for a period no show!, not sure how long I will wait to test (hate seeing the negative but also want to avoid my mind going into “what if” mode)

@Wispy:  Oh my goodness. I’m so, so sorry for how rough this has been for you. Taking time off from TTC can be really difficult, even when you know it’s the best thing, health-wise. I hope things start to look up soon! <3

@Wispy:  Hugs, lady.  You’ve been so strong through this rollercoaster.  We all know how you feel…especially with the taking so long part.  I know ALL of us had hoped to have a baby by now, or at least be sporting a big baby bump.  I hope the imposed break will give you a chance to re-group and get ready for your next BFP!
