I  hope you all made it through yesterday. Postsecret had a few infertility secrets this week, if you didn’t see them yet.

  • Cycle/Day: Cycle 21/ CD24
  • Chart: I did for quite some time, and it was very helpful, esp. at the beginning, but i know my cycle fairly well now and was getting stressed out by charting
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle: Well, I had IUI this month (on CD 14) so I am hoping for a real BFP and a sticky baby. And…this morning I had a BFP with an internet cheapie (Not sure how long hcg trigger stays in the system?) but I go in to the lab Thursday 5/17 for bloodwork.  So just trying to keep calm for right now…
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help:  I’m just trying to stay positive for now.
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love):  Everyone!
  • Favorite thing about your partner:  He’s Mr. Optimist, even though it drives me crazy sometimes. And he can always make me laugh.
  • Vacation you’d take if you had to leave tomorrow for two weeks ($ is no object):  I would love to go back to Hawaii. We went on our honeymoon to Oahu and Maui. I’d like to go to Big Island and Kauai next time.

@dagret:  I had a faint positive from the trigger at 9dpo – nothing at 10.  I used Ovidrel.  Fingers crossed!

  • Cycle/Day: Cycle 15/Day 10
  • Chart: Haven’t in a few cycles.  My temp shift was gradual and drove me batty.
  • What you need/are trying to find this cycle: Peace…
  • How you are going after it/what we can do to help:  I wish I knew how to attain it…I need to find a way to come to terms that this is not in my control and may not actually happen for us.  And if it doesn’t…I am not a failure and it will be ok.
  • A special Bee shout out (let’s show the love): You ALL are so amazing and SO VERY STRONG and have truly made me realize I am not alone in this. I know I don’t have to tell you how comforting it is to have a group like this, that just gets it.  A special shout out back to @redsmarties – indeed we are cycle buddies!!!  And I am so feeling what you are at this point…
  • Favorite thing about your partner:  His ass!  No, seriously, his sarcasm and wit keep me on my toes and there isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t crack me up!
  • Vacation you’d take if you had to leave tomorrow for two weeks ($ is no object): I R E L A N D…

@jaguar:  I feel just awful for you…I was so pulling for a Jag baby-but I know it will happen, it just wasn’t time.  Your positive outlook continues to inspire and amaze me!

@SapphireSun:  YAY!!!  I love NYC…, I live really close to the city, but I still get giddy with excitement when I head in-it is an amazing place.  Oh, and thanks for taking charge of the list this time around…I can’t remember if you wanted PM’s or not…I am in LIMBO!  In every sense of the word…

@KoiKove:  So, so sorry to read about your MC.  You more than deserve to pamper yourself…I am awed by your strength and ability to see the positive in an otherwise crappy situation.

Something random…I got a new phone back in January because my Blackberry fried itself somehow…so I lost all my contacts.  I have been entering them in my new phone as people call, text, tell me…anyway, we all know yesterday was a tough day for many of us and considering I had to spend time with my husband’s cousin, his relatively new girlfriend and their two week old I think I did pretty damn good (mimosas helped)…well, today I received a text…”It’s going to be a BOY”.  From who, I have no idea, yet…my new phone almost went through my office window!  Yeah, I am fine πŸ™‚

@bradybride:  Yep! Clomid I am. I am so looking forward to temping/charting and OPK-ing, believe it or not. #freak

@kayakgirl73:  Ouch! Yeah, there was no way I was going to approach my poor lady parts with hot wax after all their recent ordeals. πŸ˜‰ I will be happy to NOT have to wear a pad/panty liner for a REALLY long time after this. Geez.

@silver1:  Thanks hon! It’ll be nice to spend some quality time with the hubs, that’s for sure.

View original reply
@JaneyD:  Ugh, sounds awful! πŸ™ I’m sorry it wasn’t a great experience. Hopefully you’ll work out a way around the yucky stuff.

View original reply
@SapphireSun:  Oh yeah, totally gross. As if we weren’t feeling the strain already (huge, fat, bloated, depressed)… then you have a freaking SWAMP to contend with. (Sorry. That was gross. Word vomit.)

View original reply
@Wispy:  It would be awesome! But… I’ll be happy just to O and get a period. Small victories… I celebrate those.

@elchalten:  I hope that’s the kind of temp dip I’m thinking it is! πŸ™‚

@redsmarties:  Mother’s Day was hard, hon. I totally feel you. And I think it’s totally okay to meltdown occasionally. We’re only human! Bottling stuff like this up is what tends to come naturally, but you definitely need a few moments to grieve at how hard this process can be. *hugs*

@dagret:  Sounds like you won’t need us much longer here anyway! πŸ˜‰

@gingersnap25:  Hahaha. ASS. I hear you on that – but with my hubby, not yours, because that would be awkward. But I’m sure his butt is grand too! Thanks for the well wishes, every little one has made the sadness a little more bearable. xx

Whoa, sorry for the ridiculously long post. Was trying to catch up! πŸ™‚

I’m taking hubs out for a date night tonight – on a school night! (Oooo-eeeee.) We haven’t seen a movie in ages, so I let him choose: Avengers 3D in Gold Class. Hello recliners & semi-private cinema. πŸ™‚

I feel like I’ve been all about me, me, me lately, and since it’s his birthday next weekend too, he deserves some time for HIM.

@gingersnap25:  Okay, pregnancy announcements are hard enough when yiu’re prepared for them. But an anonymous one? My phone would have gone through the window, too.

@jaguar:  hooray for date night! My hubby wants to see the Avengers, too, so I’m sure we’ll be headed there this week. What’s Gold Class? Sounds fancy!

@redsmarties:  Gold Class is a more expensive option, but nice for splurges every now and again. It’s a regular movie theatre with one special area put aside with one or two screens – only about 20 seats in the theatre, that all recline (like lounges!) with footstools. They can bring you meal service while you’re watching the film too, so it’s like being waited on hand and foot!!! πŸ™‚ It costs a bomb, but I’m so excited to have a date night there tonight.

@jaguar:  You can have whatever you want!!! Lol

Ugh I’m having a crappy day. My betas are dropping sooo slowly which means just continuous bloodwork. How long can I expect this to go on? It makes the emotional recovery difficult. I’m doing fine basically and then oops back for more bloodwork. This process sucks! (sorry to be all negative)

@redsmarties:  I know how difficult it is…I hope the charting break helps you. I know it helped me. Mother’s Day is always difficult too. When I bought our moms’ cards I just had to grab a couple and get out of there before I started crying in Hallmark.

@Wispy:  I’m so sorry they’re dropping slowly. Hang in there!

@redsmarties: I’m sorry you are feeling this way. I hope today is a better day for you. ((hugs)). I’ve never been to a scandinavian bath. Can you clue me in?

@SapphireSun:  NYC? That is awesome! Great surprise I would say.

@dagret:  FX! Have you tested again this morning?

View original reply
@jaguar:  That sounds like a great evening you have planned for you DH. I’m sure he’ll let you have popcorn. How could he not to?

View original reply
@Wispy:  I’m sorry this is taking so long. Hopefully your next beta will be better.

@silver1:  Saw your chart on the charters thread. FX for you!!

I’m feeling like I’m on my way back to the “this is never going to happen” camp. I’m 8dpo and still have a long way to go. I was hoping that with time the tww would get easier but it just doesn’t.  If this cycle doesn’t work we’re officially hitting the one year mark. I’m preparing myself for a big breakdown. *sigh*

We need some positive news around here.

Had my RE appt yesterday morning. I have 4 follicles all around 12-15 mm. He upped the Bravelle to 188 iu for last night and tonight. I have another appt in the morning.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

@jaguar:  Gold class sounds awesome. I saw Avengers with hubby. It was actually pretty good.

@missmegan11:  If you don’t mind me asking, are you doing IUI with injectibles?

View original reply
@elchalten:  We have hit that year mark this month, shorter cycles for me so more of them, and I am starting to feel “so over it all”.  But it is still early for you, so don’t loose hope!!!  I am rooting big time for you πŸ™‚

@jaguar:  We have something similar around me and have heard it is great, my husband can’t justify the cost though…so I make him buy me popcorn πŸ™‚  I just can’t seem to watch a movie without it…even if it is so bad for you!  Hope you had a wonderful time…you BOTH deserve it!
