No. No offense to those who like that look, but that looks like a seedy bar loung that was never re-done.

@AB Bride:  I…what?  The 70’s had to be one of the UGLIEST decades decor wise EVER.

There used to be a blog that featured pictures of 70’s designer decorated rooms and the pictures and accompanying commentary were hilarious!

I don’t know where you heard this, but I really really doubt that. I think incorporating some pieces from 70’s can work but doing the whole thing no way man!

This can go great or terribly, terribly wrong.

The only thing from the 70’s that may work still is the wooden furniture, but lets be honest, thats because we sand/paint/stain/repurpose it.

@AB Bride:  These patterns totally remind me of my parents’ house that was built in the late 70’s.  The house was in bad shape and they completely gutted and redid the interior to something more modern.  Like all decades, the 70’s had a few good design elements that could make a comeback, and a lot of really bad ones.

Can be great or so wrong!  Wood paneling = shudder.

I love the prints, colors, and modernism, but hate the wood paneling and shag carpets on anything other than an area rug.

@jmarvellous:  Haha that kitchen! So dated!
