Basically First Response Early Result (FRER) tests are the most sensitive (or Wondfo’s if you want a bunch of generics to save $).  Any of the pink dyes.  The digitals tend to be less sensitive (you need more hcg for them to come up positive).

As for when to test, they are only the most accurate after your missed period.  TECHNICALLY people get early positives at 9-10dpo, but it’s still pretty uncommon and they are super faint.  Waiting saves any disappointment with a false BFN. I would say wait until AF is due or even a few days after, that said I can never wait that long! Wink

In April I tested and got a BFP 6 days before my period was due.  That was using First Response (FRER).  I don’t really know when I O’d that month, as I was getting negative OPK’s all of April to date.  My best guess of a OPK test that looked like it was maybe almost positive would’ve been around April 13th and I got a pretty clear BFP on April 20th.  So it’s definitely possible to detect early.  Good luck!!

EDIT: To this day, I still have not had a single bit of spotting.  I had my first appointment and ultrasound this past week and checked out perfectly according to the doctor, so don’t get too worried if you don’t have spotting.  Apparently some women do and just as many don’t.

@kris325:  haha trust me I get it, once the TWW starts it’s ALL I can think about.  But I wouldn’t test any sooner than 10DPO (unless you get Wandfo’s, those are cheap and accurate, but the $12 2 packs, that’s just flushing money down the toilet)

@kris325:  Looks like April 20th was a big, fantastic day for both of us!  😉 Congratulations on the marriage!
