Oh mah gah! Look at her! So tiny and cute! Congratulations!
So snuggly!!! Cherish every blessed newborn moment, because as soon as you know it they are 8 months and 18 lbs!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww look at those itty bitty widdle cheeks!!!!! She’s too adorable! Must….resist….urge…..to breed………
Congrats! She is adorable!!!!!
I had a friend who went through something similar. After the birth of her baby, I didn’t talk to her for about 2-3 weeks on the phone. I would leave messages, but she would only text or email back– she said that she was cryng so much, she thought if she called me, she’d just cry the whole time.
It wasn’t technically post-partum depression. Her doc told her that her hormones were just trying to reset themselves without having a little one inside of her. It took her a bit of time, but then she returned to her old self!!
@SecretName: Staying team green was DEFINITELY worth it! It was amazing that second you get to find out at the same time you meet her (or him I guess)!
Thank you all for the kind words! My parents were here and just left today and I have a couple mom friends in the area who have been able and willing to talk. I think it’s mostly hormones and it’s getting better each day, just scary taking care of someone else 100%!
She is gorgeous! I love the face 🙂 If you don’t mind me asking, what is her middle name? If you do mind, well obviously you won’t answer lol I’m just curious.
Early on, I remember feeling like I couldn’t “turn off” or really relax. It definitely takes some time to get used to the feeling that you could be needed 24/7, all day, all night, without a break. After a little bit, though, it’ll seem like you’ve been doing this your whole life. Don’t worry, you’ll get there. 🙂
Her middle name is Marie @CheesetomyWhine. It’s really common but it was my middle name. We had his middle name picked out for a boy and mine for a girl.
Congratulations! She is so adorable!
I definitely remember that feeling of being overwhelmed and wanting to cry all the time. I remember getting home with him and thinking “now what do we do?”. After a few weeks, things will get better.
Just remember to ask for help…have friends or family come over to give you a break. Even if its just taking a long shower or going out for an hour and getting a pedicure or something you will feel refreshed.
Good luck and don’t hesitate to come back here if you need some support!
