Okay I’m IN LOVE with them, and I’m walking out to Here Comes The Sun.
On our stickers which will actually be the center of our program (3in squared) cover it will have our names, wedding date and "All You Need Is Love" which is my favorite saying, not to mention the song is great too.
Now, Fiance has already vetoed walking out, or in or first dance to All you need is love – and it’s not a "first dance" really anyway, we wanted something slower.
But I want to being the "All you need is love" in, in another way but can’t figure it out – I’m only allwaed to bring The Beatles into this wedding so mcuh – but I just feel like the program saying it and then not carrying it through would be odd….putting it on the program kinda gives off the impression it’s the "theme" of the wedding.
Any thoughts, help – anything….

Have you considered playing that song during a different event at the reception, such as your entrance to the reception or the cake cutting? (personally we’re going to have "when I’m sixty-four" played for that! I’m excited!)
you could also have it printed on something like personalized napkins, though that may give the impression of a theme (i don’t know whether that’s what you were going for or not). Depending on your favors, you could make tags that say "all you need is love" rather than something like "thank you". I know that personalized ribbon is easy to find as well.
also, i happened to pick up a stamp at Michael’s the other week with the intent of stamping the envelopes of the thank you notes. I saw (and almost bought) one that said "all you need is love" in a cute script font. Maybe you could do something along those lines?
Hopefully that helps. I’ll keep thinking on it for you 🙂
yay for the Beatles!

are you showing a slideshow? if so, perhaps you can have that song play during a section of the show – such as when you have your couple/dating pictures. i have also seen a lot of people have a friend take a picture of the end of the ceremony such as your first kiss or the "yay!" moment when you turn to face the guests for the first time as husband and wife. then youjust go to your computer and add those few photos into the end of your slideshow (i plan to do this as well). if you want, i think "all you need is love" would be a great song for this last moment of the slide show.
if you are not doing a slideshow, i guess the easiest thing would be to have it playing during cocktail hour.
i have that stamp too! i heart the beaties. 🙂

Sweeney, would you mind positing a photo of sticker you refer to? I’d love to see the design since I am also in LOVE and obsessed with having a Beatle-themed wedding.

I have the same stamp that everyone is speaking about as well – and I’m using it for one side of the escort tags (they’ll be tied onto wine splits). I’ll be walking down the aisle to a strings version of "Here There and Everywhere" -but our first dance to "Something" was nixed. Bahh. 🙂
Anyhow, I would include something like the stamp on one side of the escort card – or perhaps order custom ribbon that has the phrase written on it – to add as a touch around flowers or candles, or around the napkins, favors, etc.
ps – our last dance will be "In My Life" – at least I won that battle. 🙂

how about playing ‘all you need is love’ for your grand entrance into the reception?
my honey loves the beatles too. ‘and i love her’ was one of the songs we considered for our first dance…

Or maybe you can pick different lines from or titles of Beatles songs and sprinkle them throughout somehow – so you are not just using this one song.
Hey, aren’t you doing the "All you need is love – and chocolate" with your favors?
Although we are having a small jazz quartet to play for ceremony and reception, we are actually using lines from various Dave Matthews songs on our favor stickers and tags. Not sure anybody will get that but a few of our close friends, but even if its just our private code we still love it.

I wanted to walk out to Here comes the Sun…one of my FAVORITE Beatles songs…aside from Obla-di-bla-da of course. Didn’t really suggest anything but just thought I’d support the Beatles fans out there.

Well the siticker has been modified so the "all you need is love" won’t be on it anymore – it’s been moved to the favor tag. Which is fine, and it fits in with out having to totally find a grand way to bring the song in. Now we can just play it sometime through out the night and all will be good.
Thanks for all the adive, I’d almost forgotten I’d posted this one!!!

I am actually planning a Beatles themed wedding.. We have alot of different ideas..
I have tons of ideas about the music, but am stuck on a couple things..
I think .. The bridesmaids are walking into All You Need is Love.. I am having just strings for the ceremony..
I am going to come into Across the Universe.. which I am incorporating some of the lyrics to on my invitation.
I am not sure on the first dance, but I am thinking "Something."
The Wedding Party is doing a choreographed dance during that part to OCtopus’s Garden..
I think the final dance of the night might be to With a Little Help from My Friends.. or I dunnoo.. but I need something upbeat and happy..
My father passed away 3 years ago.. and I was very close with him.. My sister and I are trying to figure out how to fit in Let it Be. It was his favorite song.. and I can’t imagine the theme or really the day without something in honor of him. I am the oldest of 4 and the first to get married.. Any suggestions..
Good luck to everyone!!!
