Happy Friday Bees!
Here’s how it works…changing it up for this week only since I’m on bridesmaids duty for the next two days.
- You’ve got until Monday morning to weigh-in
- Please include your tenths of a pound and what you weighed in at the week before.
- If you had a good loss tell us what you did!
Since the don’t have the spreadsheet at home (and I’m in a wedding), I will have to announce the winner on Monday, January 16th, so you have until then to weigh-in!
Good Luck Everyone and Happy New Year!

Yay! I’m so excited I weighed in this morning at 158.5!!!! That’s a 2.7lb loss!!! Woo Hoo!
I’ve been eating well – cheerios & banana for breakfast (I never eat breakfast during the week…), salad w/ tuna & a soda for lunch, apple for snack. And then dinners I’ve been eating slower and smaller portions.
I walked at lunch twice this week (going again today) and worked out or walked at night.
And I’ve been drinking water like it’s going out of style!

I’m at 139.8, only a .2lb loss but I’m feeling better and lost .5in in my waist. Ive been working out, drinking more water, and controling my urge to constantly snack.

Yay! So these are my results.. (It’s been a while since I’ve weighed myself since I don’t like to step on the scale more than I have to..)
January 1 Weight – 198.4 pounds
January 13 Weight – 194.4 pounds
Difference: 4 pounds loss! (I guess 2 pounds a week then)
So I’ve been really watching what I’m eating every day. I’ve been logging my food intake on Lose It.com and staying under 1700 calories. I’ve had two “cheat days” when I went out with friends.. But then I get back to my regular routine.. Been eating smaller portions for sure several times a day and measuring some things too. So my breakfast is typically cottage cheese, a banana and almonds. Try to drink more water and lots of green tea.
Been running on the treadmill, swimming, doing weights, and the 30 day shred DVD. I worked out hard 3 days a week with walking in between wtih my dog.
But just these two weeks I noticed how much I ate before without realizing it.. Just how big my portions were and how I would snack and how it adds up.

Oh forgot to say what I am doing. I am running 3 miles 6 days a week, I have quit drinking alcohol for the month of January and logging my calories on myfitnesspal.com everyday.
I started this January 1st and have lost 5lbs total since then, but only 2.1 since the beginning of this
Good luck ladies!

Wow, you girls rock!!!! You did so well!
I had a much healthier week… I met most of my goals… I went to swim practice with the triathlon team, walked more, bought healthy groceries, cooked all whole food meals, etc!
My weight last week was 162.5 and this week it was 163.5, BUT, I found out today that I’m pregnant!!!! So no more BEEgest loser for me, though I am going to keep up the healthy eating and exercise. I think that 1 lb “gain” is really just bloat – at least I hope. I feel like I was much healthier this week and should have seen a lost without the BFP!
Good luck to all of you!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

Wow…every is doing so awesome!! Last week I was at 199.8….this week im at 198.8. Down 1lb….probably would have been a little more but AF showed up today. I am hoping for 2 lbs next week! I went to the gym 5 times this week …for months I had been doing the same workout (45mins on the bike…15 min on the elipt and maybe a couple weight machines here and there)…this week I really tried to mix it up. I have been doing 20 mins on the stair climber, 10 mins rowing, 20 mins and the bike and 20 mins on the elipt. I made it a point to use at least 3 weight machines each day focusing on arms one day then legs the next. I think I kept my calorie intake under 1500 pretty much each day. We are going to a football playoff party tomorrow so my willpower is going to be tested…but I plan on eating a small meal ahead of time and bringing a granola bar in my purse in case there is nothing healthy there to eat! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
@78h2o: CONGRATS!!! How exciting!!

@78h2o: huge congrats! that’s so exciting!
Well last week I was 150 (don’t remember the tenths) and this week……..147.0!!!!
I have a feeling some of that was just water weight but I’m still excited about it!
I have been logging every day on myfitnesspal and really striving to stay at or under my limit. I try to eat less for lunch or at least snack in the morning so I’m not starving by noon and devour everything. That allows me to eat more ‘normal’ for dinnertime. That and I went to the gym 4 times (!!!!!!) this week. I’ve never done that in my life, so hopefully I keep it up!
Congrats to everyone who did so well this week!

Is it too late to join? I know this started last week, but I just joined and think posting will help me stick to my plan.
I am 5’8 and weigh 220. I fit into a size 13 however, so I don’t think I look that big, but I can’t argue with the scale. I have a terrible diet and am pretty lazy, but I have been really good this past week about eating right and walking . My SO lives with me, as does his sister and our friend (we are all in school). It has been very hard to have the will power to say no to the pizza nights and late night snacking, but I have done good for a week. He eats really bad foods, which tempts me constantly. He will work out with me, so at least that helps.
I hope I can still join, even if it is a week late.

I’m at 158.8! I believe that is 3.2 lb loss!!!
I did P90X for two days, then it was back to work and, well, laziness kicked in. The difference, I believe, was eating healthy, drinking lots of water, and at work I made sure to join in the ativitiy the kids were doing instead of watching. I have never had such a great workout on my legs than I did racing trikes for an hour one day!
My new motto: Participate fully and eat right.
