@shambley:  Pilates is hard! I am not strong enough in my core for it yet–I need to start yoga and build my strength! What are your favorite workouts to do?

Started Insanity this morning.I felt so good afterward. The real test will be tomorrow. I hope I have the energy to get out of bed tomorrow, lol, not even too worried about actually having the energy to exercise tomorrow.

Weighed myself this morning and I’m at 303.

I feel pretty good right now. I let myself have one chocolate from the box the Fiance got me today. Usually I’d have like 6 or 7 pieces but I’m being good.

My start weight is 220 lbs the last time I weighed myself. In the next 4 weeks I want to tone up and drop some pounds! I am really good at watching what I eat and over the past two weeks I’ve lost 5 lbs and I hope to lose at least 10 more lbs by the end of the 4 weeks. I am doing this 7 day bootcamp to get myself revved up-http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=1102 I like it alot! I also have a spin bike that I like to do 20 min a day till I can do more! Keep it up girls ๐Ÿ™‚

However–I cheated some today…it was Valentines day and everyone was handing out candy…

@andilene:  I used to have a gym membership, and they offered kick-butt pilates classes. But for now, I’ve been using my Windsor Pilates DVDs. I also found a couple pilates DVDs that I love and they’re put out by Shape. I found them at Target (2 for $10), and I really like them becuase they allow you to build your own workout. For example, I HATE abs. I would rather get that out of the way very first, while I’m fresh, so I put that at the beginning of the workout. Then, I end with legs because I’m a BEAST in my lower body.

Do you usually do your workouts at the gym or at home? Have any home workouts you love?

You know you’re SUPPOSED to put abs first because the core takes the most energy to properly work? So good for you ๐Ÿ™‚

I actually like working out in general but my least favorite is the core, because mine is so terribly weak. I don’t think that my C-Section super helped either! I enjoy cardio workouts best though ๐Ÿ™‚

And I will only work out at the gym, period. If you have me do it at home, it totally will not happen. I can work out in front of 100 strangers at the gym NP but with my Fiance and 3 year old, no way! lol

@andilene:  I’m right there with you with the core thing. The only thing that’s possibly weaker than my core are my arms! Hah.

That’s so funny… I’m just the opposite! I would much rather work out at home than in a busy gym! Although I have NEVER and probably will NEVER work out in front of DH… I hate even thinking about it. It’s probably because he’s in such good shape that I feel like a blob of fat next to him! Although I might consider doing Yoga or Pilates with him just to see him struggle…

Everyone who worked out yesterday gets major props!!! I on the other hand stayed home from work sick and didn’t do anything active. Planning to go to boot camp tonight even though I still feel crummy. I’ve heard it’s ok to workout if it’s in your head and not your lungs – anyone agree or disagree?  I’m afraid to miss to much working out time because that’s how I always fall back into my old ways.

Keep it up ladies!

Had to come share the recipe to a protein shake I just made… It’s perfect for someone who loves RICH chocolate: The German Chocolate Protein Shake

2 scoops chocolate protein powder

1 tbsp. cocoa powder

pinch truvia or sweetener

coconut extract to taste (I used about 1 1/2 tsp)

2 tbsp. sour cream (you can skip this or use low fat if you’d like, I went full fat)

milk to reach desired consistency

3 ice cubes.

OH MY GOD, this was cake in my mouth. And over 48 grams of protein. It totally put to bed any sweet cravings I was having.

@mittens111211 I am not a morning person, so morning work outs would not happen for me LOL  I get up 35 minutes before I have to leave, and that gives me time to let the dog out, feed her, shower, brush my teeth, get dressed, let the dog at again (you know, cause she just ate she might have to go again LOL) and leave.

I was proud of myself last night.  We went to dinner on Saturday, so last night was nothing special.  I ate leftovers and then he decided he was hungry.  So I went to pick him up some Chinese (he is super food picky and didn’t want leftovers last night).  Well, the Chinese place didn’t place my order when I phoned it in, and I ended up waiting there for about 35 minutes for his food.  So I was super irritated when I got home.  I just wanted to sit on the couch and relax, but instead, I headed straight to the bedroom and changed and got my work out done ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow you guys are so good with your workouts and diets!

I think I had possibly the worst day since I started my diet back in Oct.

I was feeling down and mopey all day. My food intake was an apple a fiber bar, 3 slices of honey turkey, a huge spoonful of peanut butter, a hershey bar, a plate full of wheat thins with squeeze cheese and a coke. Then for dinner my Fiance went out for mexican and I had another coke!

IDK whats wrong with me? I am failing horribly and can’t seem to get back on track. ๐Ÿ™
