So I was totally stoked to workout yesterday. It was an hour before FH was due home, so I was going to do 30 mins of cardio and 30 of strength. I decided to start with strength training and do the reps my FH showed me that work for him. There are about five various lifts, working all your arm muscles, and then push ups to end the set. I did wonderfully on my lifts but then came the push ups. I had noticed earlier in the week that my lower ab muscles didn’t feel that great during my push ups but I thought I was just sore. Well I’m going down on my very first push up yesterday and I get this immensely painful ripping senstation in my lower abs. I lower myself to the ground and I just start crying cause the pain is unbelieveable. I text my FH but of course its the one time in life his phone is not by his side. After 5 mins on the ground, I’m able to get myself up and to some pain reliever and a cold pack. I decide hey, should lay down that will help. It didn’t. Made me feel worse but I couldn’t lay back up because it hurt so badly. I had to lay there til FH came home about half an hour later to pull me up.
Needless to say, i didnt finish my workout yesterday and I won’t be getting one in today as I am still in pain. I don’t want to further injure myself. SO hopefully tomorrow i’ll feel better. I am itching to workout

Take it easy, you don’t want to do any long term damage! Make sure you’re stretching well and warming up before working out.
Yesterday some friends and I went hiking in the mountains. I pushed myself and went up the mountain at a hard pace. My guy friends had to stop and take breaks and couldn’t catch their breath. I was so proud of myself! I did have a hefty frozen yogurt last night, which I feel only slightly guilty about. But I’m down another pound this morning, so its all good.

I went to a festival and probably had a little too much to eat on Saturday. Hopefully I didn’t gain a whole ton because we also walked around for hours. We shall see!

How was everyone’s long weekend? Mine was okay, ate way too much of course!
Exciting things are happening Bees… I got a new job and I’m pretty excited about it but it’s throwing me for a loop. The hours are different (8:30-5:30) than I work now and instead of carpooling with DH I have to take the bus for an hour commute which means getting home late so I’m having to change my workouts and plan lunches better because there is really no food around there, etc. It’s craziness!

My weekend was okay. I spent most of it resting myself. It wasn’t til this morning that it didn’t hurt to get out of bed. I’m going to have to work on my core muscles before attempting a push up again. Anyone have any suggestions?
But since I was feeling so well, I got up and walked/jogged for about 3.5miles. It started raining in the middle of it but I kept going. What’s a little rain? It actually felt nice since it’s so muggy here today. I’m hoping for some kind of loss this week. Even if it’s just a tenth of a pound. I’ll be happy.

Congrats on the job! Still no job for me. 🙁 I have been eating a lot too but I worked out today for about 45 minutes and that pain in my hip is back. I have to ramp up the job searching and I’m afraid *sigh* working out clears my head so I have to keep that going! Hope everyone else is doing well! I bought some groceries to get back on the good eating track. No weight gain so far yey and a little loss. Haven’t been recording in the food journal though. I’ll try to do that today.

I am nervous about tomorrows weigh-in! I did not lose any weigh last week. I have eaten pretty well this week, but have not worked out because i think i broke my pinky toe. Next week I start a new schedule with work so I really want to try and get into some sort of routine for excercise. Any recommendations for excercise videos to help with my weight loss? Should I stick to cardio and had weights in after i lose some weight or do both cardio and strenth right away?
