I’d like to see photos too!  can you give us an idea of the type of flowers you got and the cost? I am considering the DIY route, but would love to have pro’s do it if it would be in my budget.

Val did my flowers – she is so talented and a pleasure to work with!

Val was the only part of my wedding that was a major downfall. I LOVED her at the beginning.  She had a “can do” attitude about everything and told us not to worry things would be “perfect”.  Aside from her being a little hard to get ahold of, I had full confidence in her and we had a great relationship (I am anti-bridezilla– truly could not have been easier to work with).

I purchased some expensive centerpeices that I wanted to be put on every third table.  Val encouraged me to bring them to her and she’d spruce them up and put them out on the wedding day.

At the reception the hotel employee we worked with came to me and said I could have sworn I remember you saying you wanted flowers on your wedding cake.  I said I did.  She said the florist doesnt think so.  I tried to stop he but she left.  The employee bought the flowers herself.

Once we came into the reception I realized none of the centerpeices I had bought were there.  There were instead cylinders that Val was doing for the remainder of the tables, but no water in them so just a fake looking flower sitting dry in a cylinder.  It was a bummer that I remember looking out into the reception and havinga big GULP that looks terrible.  I got over it though.

Even though I wasnt happy I believed it was an honest mistake and simply called to ask for the centerpeices back that I intended to resell.  Val ignored ALL… ALL of my calls and emails (about 15 of them).  We even said we would get legal parties involved if we didnt get an answer and still nothing.

Val still has my property and refuses to call me back… we only got an answer from her once via a blocked phone number and she said she’d call back and then never called and avoided us.  I have no choice but to report that Val has stolen our things.

Although Val appeared to be sweet and reliable she fell through in the end then avoided the problem.  I would not reccomend her to a friend, unless you’re willing to deal with that on your wedding day or have your money go out the window.
