It will be okay. This is normal! Don’t be discouraged! Think about all the you’ve accomplished so far! You’re doing great!
I know this advice is going to seem backwards and if anyone else wants to correct this than that’s totally fine.
I think you might need a wee little break. Maybe one or two days where you increase your calories (just a bit, maybe 200) and do some moderate exercise.
you can try the-not-backwards way and completely switch around everything that you’re doing. Maybe try and a couple different menu’s from South Beach or Atkins? Or the 40/30/30 plan (I think that’s what it’s called). Eat different foods, if you like green beans, eat asparagus instead. Instead of an apple, eat a banana. Do you like fish? Eat swordfish instead of salmon. Try the sandwich thins instead of eating a full piece of bread, etc.
Either way, we are here for you! Keep at it!

@tranquility: Don’t let this bother you. 2lbs could easily be either water weight or the build up of muscle. Keep it up, you can do it!!

I came very close to going over my points last night. It was going to be a rest day but I ended up doing 60 minutes on my stationary bike while watching Dr. Who. lol
This morning was drama filled so I didn’t get to work out, but I had my eggs and turkey sausage. I plan on walking 3 miles tonight with Leslie Sansone. I LOVE her DVD’s. They are so simple but effective!

Thanks guys… Im just so extra emotional today… week before my visit …. and fi is gone.
I think I am going not weight myself at all next week. I will weight myself tomorrow morning but no more after that till next friday. I really am obsessive about it.

@Mrs.Mittens: I have to weigh in now because I’m leaving for my trip this evening. so. . . bad news here. 142. So much for reaching my goal. 🙁
Don’t worry, Tranquility!! Look, I am up 4 lbs from last Saturday. It’s not real when this happens. It’s just water weight, or something. Have you changed your workout? Your muscles could be holding on to stuff as well. I am hoping that is what is happening to me, although I have been terrible with my diet this week. But, it’s just not possible for someone to gain weight that quickly, especially if you are eating a reasonable amount of calories and exercising. Bodies do weird things. Take the week off from weighing yourself, stay on track with your eating and exercise. Take mittens’ advice, for sure. I dropped over a pound when I took a day off from exercising last Thursday, lol. Remember to drink lots of water. Hopefully, you’ll see an improvement next week.

@tranquility: If by your “visit” you mean your time of the month of course you will be bloating, 2 pounds is nothing!!! I bloat the week before, the week of and the week after. I can just look at salt and gain 2 pounds. Drink lots of water and make sure you are flushing the sodium out of your system. I weigh myself everyday to keep myself in check, I can’t even imagine not weighing myself for a week, good luck with that.
Morning everyone 🙂

Ohh! Can I join????
I started Weight Watchers this past Tuesday!! I have PCOS, and I am going through fertility treatments. My RE reccommended I lose 15.
Starting weight: 148.6
First goal 5%: 141.2
Second goal 10%: 133.7
I would like to get to 130 and then see how I look. I think that would be a good weight for me.
I get weighed Tuesday mornings, so I will have to update on Tuesdays! If anyone else is on WW, I’d love to swap recipes and ideas!!

I started the year at 148lbs. i am 5′ 2.5″ so I was definately over weight.
After joining a professional gym as doing step aerobis, boxercise, weight training cardio, walking I am now 131.8lbs.
I lost 4 inches around by belly button and 2 inches around my butt…Yay!
For the wedding I would like to weigh 125lbs. But it depends on how much weight I lose in my buttt. I have a huge hips and butt and they take time to reduce. So far most for the weightloss has been from my upper body.
I read online that for my height i should be 118lbs but I really dont want to get too small and look sick

Oh am my skin cleared up too since i stopped eating junk food and my face has changed. It is smaller

@jessjess: I lived downtown before I moved so I walked and rode my bike everywhere. I also took step classes and had a pretty active job, so it wasn’t just the curds. Until this week, I never worked out consitently, Fiance and I would eat out ALL the time, and I sit a desk all day. It was a pretty big change so I can’t really be suprised I put on so much weight.
Don’t deprive yourself of the curds though! They are so good. Just have smaller portions!
I was a few hundred calories under my limit yesterday and worked out for just over an hour. Watching So You Think You Can Dance really kept me motivated 🙂
