@jerrbear585: I’m doing Weight Watchers Points Plus but I go to meetings as well. It’s going well for me thus far. I’ve done WW a few times before and I’ve been technically doing it since early December this time around. I struggled a bit through the holidays and January but got on track in February and I’m currently down just over 20 lbs! My biggest struggle seems to be days like today where I went to a brunch buffet and then my fiance’s parents’ house for dinner…I just tried to eat as healthily as possible and didn’t worry about the points. We shall see how it goes. How are you doing so far?

@caity713: Yes, today my mom went to a lot of trouble to make appetizers and a big dinner + dessert.  So I went way over, but instead of worrying about the points I am just not use any of my extra points this week… I want to stay on track of 2 lbs loss a week.  Today was my weigh in and I am down 2.2 lbs (YAY!)  I know realistically I will plateau… I hope it won’t be too bad though.  Please keep in touch, keep me posted how you are doing with w.w.

@Ayslinn87: Thank you.  He hasn’t gotten any worse the last couple of days.  His nurse says that he is getting a lot better but she seems really disinterested so I am not sure how much I trust her.  When I saw him yesterday I would say he was a little bit better but hardly the major improvement she was trying to convince me of .

How is everybody doing otherwise?  My workouts have been great but with the Easter weekend =tons of food and finals starting, my eating hasn’t been that great.

BEES! happy monday!

anyone changing up their eating habits/work out routine this week?

i was going to start a different diet, but after looking at it, i think i would be miserable all week if i ate the food.  so instead, i’m just going to focus on bringing my lunch everyday so that i’m not eating high calorie food and spending 30 some dollars on food this week! should be good! three cheese ziti for lunch!

have a great day!

This weekend was a disaster for me! I ate WAY to much candy, and butter-y salty foods. Plus my period started this weekend! I am up 3 lbs, I just cant beleive what 2 bad days can do to sabotage a diet! I will just need to hit the gym more and focus on eating healthy.

Today for lunch I brought 2 hard boiled eggs, (colored of course!) a salad, and a bowl of mixed melons for an afternoon snack!

I brought salad for lunch instead of my usual sandwich. I also brought yogurt rather than something carby for a snack.

I’m starting a new diet much needed after Easter with fixed meal plans (lots of fruits and veggies mostly)! I bought the book years ago when I was in college but I had really bad eating disorders back then and it was a complete failure. I feel so much better and confident now, I hope for the best. No more eating out and alcohol for the next 4 weeks and exercising every day. Wish me luck, bees!

@Hirondelle: Good luck!

For the rest of you, I totally had a diet WIN last night… it was late (9pm) and we were coming home from picking up our daughter and STILL hadn’t had dinner… we were starving.  So Fiance decided to stop by a Wendy’s 5 minutes from home and get food so I wouldn’t have to cook aything.  I was looking at the menu trying to find something healthy, and trying to decide if I was starving enough for it to be worth it… and I decided it wasn’t! So Fiance got Wendy’s, and I went home and had a bowl of special K cereal instead, which I know is not the greatest dinner ever but it’s a lot better than putting a cheeseburger down my gullet!!!!  I was so proud… I even fist pumped and said SCORE ONE FOR MY DIET as we drove out of the wendy’s parking lot… Fiance just laughed, but I knew you all would understand! WHOOHOOOO for will power!!!

I use myftinesspal to track my calories in and out with exercise.  I know it isn’t perfect but it holds me accountable.  I normally try to go to the gym about 4-5 days a week.  On top of that I was doing the 200 squat challenge and the 100 sit up challenge.  This week I decided to add the 200 sit up challenge also to the mix.  I really hope that all of this pays off!

I did gain back a little of the weight I lost last week….thanks Easter dinner that was OH so yummy!

Happy Week 2 everyone!

This week is going to be challenging for me as we leave on vacation Thursday.  We are headed to Florida so I plan to eat a LOT of fish – and since it will be fresh I’ll try to be good and broiled or blackened.

My cheat day is going to be Friday, I’m visiting my friends in Miami (FI and I moved back to Michigan from Miami last May) and will have to have Cuban food.  In prep for this I am working out M-W and taking my running shoes so I can go for a jog while we’re down there. Oh also, instead of beer by the pool I am only allowing myself 2 beers for the whole trip – if I want to drink it will have to be vodka and tonic!

I made a great crock pot recipe last night, for all you busy gals:

1 Can 98% fat free cream chicken condensed soup

1 Cup salsa

1 packet low sodium taco seasoning

Mix together in Crock pot, add 3 to 4 chicken breasts (frozen or fresh, just takes longer if frozen).  Cook on 4 or 6 hours for approximately 6 hours!  Break the chicken up with a spoon as it cooks!

I eat this in corn tortillas, over rice or even with baked lay tortilla chips!  Its very good with a touch of sour cream and some cilantro.  Not sure of the calories, but I believe its somewhere around 200 calories for a serving – and its so good and easy!
